I spent some time in Andalucia living with a family in Algeciras during me senior year in High School. One of their favorite things to do on the weekend was to drive to the mountains and make a paella over an open fire, play guitar, sing and dance flamenco. They would be joined by other families and there would be these crazy fun parties outside in the hills with extraordinary music and dance. There was one woman, Josefina, called Fifi, who danced professionally. It really is something you never forget, seeing someone who truly excels at their craft performing among friends and family. The dress, Andaluz, from Nardcotix reminds me so much of those weekends.
Gidge blogged this a few weeks ago about the same time I shot the pictures, so I delayed posting for a few weeks, but we really believe that great pieces deserve notice. This is a great dress and clearly very flexible. In Gidge’s post, she wore the full ballgown skirt option. I am wearing a narrower skirt or no skirt prim at all in the first picture. The shoes, by the way are also from Nardcotix.
I completed the look with the lovely Belleza Jesse skin, hair from Lelutka and jewelry from Dark Mouse.
