Sometimes when I see a dress that draws my eye, I realize that it is a twofer. What I mean is that it can be worn off the rack, so to speak, as a dress or it can be worn as separates, the skirt being worn with other tops, the bodice being worn with pants or a skirt.  Often when I decide to mix it up, I try a system skirt first because they often have higher waists and the blouse-waist transition is less problematic.

This is just that sort of outfit. The top is from a Nardcotix dress called Airia. The skirt is from SLink and comes in a 4 pack of black system skirts with the white embroidery either on the lower left, lower right, upper left or upper right – each a slightly different white floral design. I added Vintage stocking from No. 9 and Seductress shoes from Adam N Eve and aren’t they well-named. I am showing the outfit from the back to show you that you can wear a system skirt and not have your booty look as wide as the Panhandle. All you need to do is make a copy of your shape, go to edit appearance and slide down the numbers on your hips and butt significantly.  Be sure to name it your skirt shape so you can find it when you need it.

Here’s a closer look at the bodice and the marvelous jewelry from Balderdash.  The delicacy and detail is stunning and you really have to see it to believe it. Don’t take my word for it, go to Oubliette and zoom and and see just how marvelous the craftsmanship is.

The skin is GRACE from PXL Creations. One reason for having different skins is to project different moods. When I want to look impish or twee, I might wear a Rockberry for example. However, when I want to look beautiful and elegant, PXL Skins are on the top of my list.
