Fall Touches

Second Spaces brought some lovely fall decor to Collabor88 this month and I’m madly in love because it’s all ONE PIECE rather than 438954579 separate pieces that rez together and then you have to link them all yourself to move them.

I swear to you, there is a special hell for people who put their decor releases out like that.

I curse you, I do. Every time I realize I’m about to unpack something something that’s multiple items which are unlinked part of me dies inside.

That’s why Second Spaces is the bees knees. It really is. Continue reading

Clothes Make a Statement

Costumes tell a story.

I’ve  heard that saying, but I wonder if I’m always in costumes or clothes?  Regardless of that, I’ve spent my morning running around in an October fueled joy, because it’s pumpkin time and it’s Halloween time and leaves are turning.

It’s time for everything to change.

I hit the FLF hard and heavy this morning too, as evidenced by my pumpkins, dress and shoes. WORTH every penny.

Some people might tell you it’s too soon to start Halloween dressing and decorating.

We call such people bad friends and recommend you limit your exposure to them. No one needs that kind of negativity.

And Just Like That It’s Bandana Day

Bandana Day is upon us once again. It’s a stern reminder of why we have the Hair Fair each year which is much more about others than us.  It’s not just a shopping event, yet we do love to shop. It’s an event where we come together and the lindens we spend help others.

The RL has plagued me more than usual and kept poor Pixel Gidge trapped on her island alone, but she did make a foray into the Hair Fair. She has a ritual, before she buys anything, she seeks the bandanas. Why? Because they people that make them, make them with LOVE. They don’t make a dime out of it, they don’t benefit, in fact it costs them time and creativity. Yet every year people make them. Hell even I made them a year or two – until the trappings of mesh put them beyond my own skills.

I’m proud to stand here for the “I don’t Know How Many Years In a Row” time and say I supported Wigs for Kids and Hair Fair once again. Thank you Sasy and Whimsy and whomever else poured their time and love into making this event happen.

You are very appreciated – even if we forget to tell you.

A Perfect Day To Grill

It was a perfect day for a nap, in fact naps were already in progress, when I realized I was incredibly hungry. There was nothing for it but to make some food and I just HAPPEN to have a new grill!

But what to cook? Continue reading

48 Hours Until THE ARCADE Sales Into Port

Astralia has released the boat every girly girl needs this round of THE ARCADE and I’m thinking I might just need a little vacation on the mighty Linden seas this week to celebrate. It comes complete with a bedroom so what else do I really need? Continue reading

In the Out of Doors

Some might wonder in the magical land of Second Life why I choose to “be normal”. I suppose it’s a valid question. Perhaps it’s because this is, as Prok so rightly called it (although regarding someone else) – a room of one’s own.

In life my typist isn’t afforded the luxury of just simply having everything just so, as she’d like and thus in this space, she gives me whatever she fancies, even if just for a while. Thus, unicorns. Tomorrow – who knows? Continue reading

You’ve Lost Your Damn Mind

The age old conversation about absurd requirements for bloggers never seems to end. I was having a conversation with my girl Sasy and we were once again clucking about the weird measures and expectations people seem to be obsessed with.

The other side of the conversation also seems to be that everyone and their brother thinks they can blog because it’s easy and free stuff, at least that’s the tagline. Of course if you ever blogged for any amount of time, you’d know that isn’t the case. It’s work, it’s a commitment and it actually take some effort. Continue reading
