Not Your Grandma’s Porcelain Doll

I love how the ultra modern shape of this jacket with its extreme shoulder and the bold, urban cut of the pants with  zippered legs are merged with the ultimate in delicacy and tradition, the ancient art of  blue and white porcelain. When a designer can take such dichotomous threads and weave them into a coherent design, that’s magic.

After finding some great jackets at Liziaah on Marketplace, I had to stop by the in-world store and spent far too much. I fell in love with the porcelain collection that includes these pants and the jacket and top (the top comes in blue and white both and is on system layers), as well as three dresses and three pairs of shoes. These cobalt blue pumps are glorious, though I also fell in love with a pair of porcelain pumps as well. I only wish the top would have had a tucked option for those of us who like a little more coverage.

I love this hair from LaViere (Tee*fy’s hair brand). The swooping curl of the bangs is adorable and the bit of loft that adds movement tot he hair makes this one of my favorite styles from Hair Fair. And please, do head over to Hair Fair, not just because this is gorgeous hair, but to support Wigs For Kids. jul13_020
