The Fish Was Flopping – I can’t decide if it’s funny or sad!

The Asian Pacific Heritage Festival is going on and if you haven’t been before, I need to pinch you because you need to WAKE UP! This is one of my favorite events as it’s always beautiful, there are always some sort of float or vignette to represent the various countries of the Asian Pacific region of the world, this year they are small barges beautifully decorating the water surrounding the docks and land where the festival is held.

You’ll find a host of interesting things to do at this event, from shopping (with free gifts ya’ll), panel discussions, art installations and a lovely gallery telling stories from Asian Pacific residents of the grid.

And of course, shopping.

One of my favorite features of this event, however, are the numerous food stalls where a foodie girl like me can graze for hours without causing a stir.

I’m Not Sure What This Is, But I’m Eating It

Food stalls and demo food that goes for days are really what sustains me here on the grid. Despite having a lovely kitchen I just so rarely cook, I love to eat like a hog and have it be free or near free!

I had to stop they have Udon

Yes yes I stopped at more than one place. Okay I stopped at every stall that was offering food. Is that wrong? I don’t care, I’m still doing it.

I forgot to pick up some sake. Darnit now I have to go back.

I did stop by and catch one of the panel conversations. I wasn’t able to stay too long but it was engaging and interesting. Check the panel when you arrive for the schedule of events.

This event is a 10/10 for fun.

Feast for One

I decided that there was nothing like a movie and an amazing meal to end this week. I was craving sushi and couldn’t decide exactly what so I just had a whole assortment sent over to me. Will I eat it all? Probably. At once? Oh probably not. But it’s so delicious, how could I resist this feast?

I picked it up at an event called the Food Court. They had such a cute assortment of yummies I couldn’t resist. You know how I love to pixel eat!

Despite staying in, I did stray outside just to take in the ocean breeze and really enjoy the surf this beautiful evening. Just listening to it makes me feel so calm and happy. I think that’s why I still love this spot so much and it would be hard to get me to move. It’s a perfect way to end my week, listening to the waves and feeling the warm breeze.

My Mouth is Stuck Open!

I spent about 30 minutes with my mouth stuck open before I crashed. I took a lot of photos and I do have to admit, this one made me smile. Sometimes it’s okay to be imperfect and happy.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Snowy Getaway

I rented a little place to get away this weekend and wasn’t disappointed with the snow and cold. I do love the holidays and my island home never is anything but beach paradise which is lovely yet – I long for the snow.

So here I am, spotting a polar bear cub and wondering where her mama is. I had better get inside I suppose.

    I have my nightcap – and a snack on top. This might be a perfect drink honestly – a donut and a martini? I’m in love. This is one of the delicious drinks from ChicChica available at this round of Arcade.

    Now, I’m going to go find some comfy pajamas and settle in. How’s your Saturday night?
