My friend’s sim Aurelias was recently reopened with an entirely new build and it’s a sweet little blogger paradise with all of it’s wonderful details and scenery.
It’s a lovely place just to BE as well. I could just spend time here being me and enjoying the scenery honestly. It’s so comforting to be in a space that feels so good to be in.
What I found really magical was the level of detail that was put into creating this build.
Look at these adorable little mice in the clock. This is the kind of just wonderful detail that makes this sim worth every little inch of discovery time.
They also built a rainy swampy area that is really spectacular. I’ve been a big fan of any kind of rain in SL forever but clearly it’s improved over time. It’s a great look.

Cake: What Next
I’ve been missing from the grid for several weeks due to an internet issue that was blocking me from accessing. We got an upgrade and suddenly I couldn’t connect. Annoying, let me tell you.
But eventually I landed back in my house and found Christmas in full swing which means it’s time to decorate and get SUPER happy. I love Halloween but right behind that is the wintery joy that Christmas brings, even to my island paradise.
I picked up this hilarious Elf Fries from Junk Food. It’s the time of year for the silliest of treats and you know I’m here for it.
What’s your methodology for Shop & Hop? Do you go to it? I have a strict rule of always walking in the same direction with either my left or right shoulder facing the shops. I just keep going until I finally get back to wherever I started – if I can remember where that is, of course.
I messed up the other day and when I logged in I chose to log in at home, which meant I had no idea where I’d left off. Oooops. It’s so overwhelming and huge. I’m also not a fan of booths with too much brown. Bad textures are bleh but omg when everything is brown I’m just so done. I know that’s probably silly, but we all have our thing, don’t we?
Now I post this pic with lots of brown because my likes are duplicitous and without reason.

I headed over to New Orleans for a night or two but the place is in complete disarray. Not the sort of “there are beads, trash and pee everywhere” disarray that one might normally expect in such a place but rather, just trashed. There seemed to be a lot of random people wandering aimlessly too. I’m not sure what exactly is going on, really.
I was excited for a delicious drink from one of my favorite creators – FLAIR from the Halloween Shop and Hop. Do you LOVE Shop and Hop? I legitimately do. I got this adorable hair stick there too.
True story I love hair sticks and was actually introduced to them in SL as an accessory, so I covet them in both lives.
