Monday With a Vengeance

There are people out there who hate Monday. I don’t really know why. It’s just another turn of the planet and now we’re out of our loungewear and into our work clothes. For me, it’s not really even that big of a deal as I’m likely to be wearing clothes to model on a weekend anyway.

Weekdays, weekends, it’s all just chopping up the trip around the sun into meaning that is really not there except thinking makes it seem so.

I’ve fallen in love with this lip color and I’m not sure when or if I can take it off. It just is such a perfect color to me. I rather want it in the RL honestly.

Now for me girls, I’m off to do all my fashiony bloggery things that I need to do this fine Monday. How are you filling your time? Let’s make some shit happen today! Make it a great day girls.

There might be a tendency to be concerned that I didn’t edit or fix that knee bit in this dress. In addition to not using PS, I also think it’s really good just to see things are they are and be OKAY with how they are. Sometimes things go wonky or have an intersection here or there. It doesn’t make them BAD! Our grid lives are going to have some wonkiness. If we can’t deal with that we might as well just look at renders.

It doesn’t make my flamingo scooter any less amazing, I assure you.

Fireworks and BBQ

There’s a lot of planning that goes in to putting on a perfect July 4 shindig so I had to get started early. How much food is too much? Who even knows?

I decided to give the grill a cleaning and a run through tonight. Stop judging me, some of that meat is for the neighbors. No really I’m very hospitable.

I practiced making drinks and sampling my own wares I have to say, these are delicious. I think I’m about ready for the big day tomorrow.

ChicChica had a FUN little group gift out for all you 4th of July types. I had to get one. SUPER cute.

All this getting ready for the big day has me completely worn out. Are you ready? What are your plans?

I picked up these amazingly comfy PRIDE sneaks from BLEICH and I recommend you run don’t walk to grab them for 50L if they are still there. Perfect, comfy shoes.

Dumber than a Bag of Hammers

Yesterday I had a mini meltdown. I popped over to Seven Deadly Skins to grab the group gift and immediately went home to try it on. What can I say, I’m a fan girl. I was immediately upset because my Catwa head wasn’t working right. It wouldn’t take the BOM layer.

Now let me back up and say, I get it. Most of my SL issues are because I’m being Gidgey and NOT paying attention at all. Firs thing to check – am I actually wearing a CATWA head? Did I push the CATWA head BOM button on the HUD? I tried different skins – no avail. I tried OMEGA relay. No avail. I asked myself “What am I wearing to cause this?” I scanned through worn items quickly but could not see anything that made me go AHA. I posted on plurk and received a flurry of things to look for.

I rage quit. I went back. I took it off. I put it back on. I went back to plurk to RAGE About not getting it right. Someone suggested TATTOO layer and I went back to my WORN items list.

FUCK MY LIFE.

There are so many things to remember now. There are so many ways to wear a skin. Base layer with tattoo, omega, system skin, applier….it’s like in going back to basics we’ve just added even more complexity than this Gidgey brain can process. SO INDEED it was that I was wearing a tattoo layer FACE that my eyes just floated past every time I was checking out what I was wearing. My brain didn’t register that this would be an entire FACE even though I AM INDEED The person who put it on.

Thus, I took it off and solved my life.

I meant to change my hair but you guys I was traumatized by this skin thing. Hold me.
