Camping at Swayland

I wandered out for the weekend, was compelled to just be alone and breathe for a while in the crisp winter of deep December. Swayland seemed the perfect spot for my endeavor, so I set up camp here to just spend the night away from comforts and re-energize.

There’s a lot to be said for cooking over the fire. Is it just that the food seems more real, or that the work you put into it makes it taste better? I don’t now why but somehow everything I cook over a fire is better, even marshmallows.

Tomorrow i’ll pack up and go home, refreshed and renewed from my camping adventure. But tonight, I’ll sleep bundled up in the crisp cold air, and remind myself how much I do love this.

    Hi there,
I just found read an article that you were mentioned in about second life, because I just heard of it through a tv show I watched & have been wanting to try it out.
I tried finding a private way to email you but no luck via social sites except LinkedIn, and it doesn’t allow direct messages, SO…here I am lol.
I just wanted to connect & comment that I also am a mother of an autistic child, my son DJ is 10, he is nonverbal & still in pull ups as well, which I read that is something you also deal with having a child also with autism, & sounds like maybe a very similar level of it!
I was surprised by the similarities between the profile the article described about you & myself, which grabbed my attention since that pretty much NEVER happens to me lol, seeing that I rarely get time to socialize & when I do, I’d rather just rest! And I find most mom’s I come across of autistic kids end up really having kids with Asperger’s & are so incomparably high functioning than my son, who has a very traditional, classic, more severe form of autism, whereby he is noticeably behind his peers/classmates in pretty much every area possible & not just by a little bit.
I actually laughed out loud for real when I read in the article that one of your children was listening to a slowed down intro to Barney repeatedly, because that is SO ridiculously like something my son would do too!! I could picture it too perfectly lol.
Anyway I just wanted to say hello & reach out. I just joined SL last weekend but haven’t taken the time to really get started on it or explore,i…..if you have any helpful tips or info/advice let me know!
