Auntie Mame said those words and I believe very strongly in all things said by Auntie Mame. If the world were a perfect place, I would be Auntie Mame. Sometimes people write about what their SL fantasy is, perhaps they blog it – they’re a hunter or a goddess or a trashy slutty girl who has to put her goodies out on flickr for everyone to see 24/7. That’s their fantasy and I say go in peace, unless you don’t mark your goodies shots as adult on flickr and then well, I want to pinch your nerbs bcse that’s just rude.

I watched Auntie Mame for the first time with my great uncle who was the male embodiment of Auntie Mame to me. He told me, as we settled down on his elegant ultra-modern and super uncomfortable sofa with popcorn and 7 Ups, how he took my mother to see it in the theater when it came out. He laughed and said that when my grandmother found out he’d done it, she didn’t speak to him for a week. SCANADLOUS!

There’s an unwed pregnancy in it you see. THAT WAS SHOCKING AND HORRIBLE STUFF WE DID NOT DISCUSS. I won’t toss out spoilers here. You need to see Auntie Mame.

These memories of Auntie Mame and random tales of my life are courtesy of this hammock from Cheeky Pea. My uncle had a very similar hammock out on his farm.  We would sit on it and he would read to me Louis L’Amour books, which he said were classics and everyone should know.

This is debatable. But it’s a happy memory and despite the fact I’m no fan of Louis L’Amour these days, I’d give anything to have one of those silly days back.

I’m trying out new eyes today from Mayfly because Gogo said to.  I’d jump off a cliff if Gogo said it would make me pretty. I like them. I picked up freebies just to try them out. I am going to have to go pick a color.
