Time passes so slowly sometimes. I’m filling my hours with activities, with music, with writing, with thinking and reading. I added a new show, I’m working out, but still there is no moving time forward I must walk through every hour while I wait, in silence.

It’s a time to be mute, without expression and to just sit, and wait and think. That’s the rub. The thinking takes over, and the brain wonders and worries and revisits all of the days and the words. The brain says “Why are you waiting for anything?” I tell it I don’t know.

Sometimes the silence and passing of time feels like penance, sometimes it feels like punishment and sometimes it feels like the new normal. And yet, I’m selfish with my life. I want all of my days and all of my minutes, I was to breathe them and feel them and be in them deeply and wholly. So this languishing over time feels wasteful. What have I done with these days I cannot get back?
