Hair Fair opens tomorrow. While DJing the opening party, I hunted far and wide stalking the wild hair, the short hair, the curly hair, the long, straight, curly, fuzzy, naggy, shaggy, ratty, natty, oily, greasy, fleecy, shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen, knotted, polka-dotted, twisted, beaded, braided, powdered, flowered, and confettied, bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Since joining Second Life®, I have never missed Hair Fair and have to say this is my favorite build. The build is just a whole lot of hair product and I cracked up when I sounded out the name of the product. The stores are inside the product boxes and the creativity of the designers in decorating the boxes is another part of the fun of Hair Fair. 

All sorts of oddments for fixing hair are strewn about the sim and you will be excused for thinking they are just for decor, but they also serve as subtle directional cues to keep you on the track. Stores are only on one side of the track so you will not miss a single store if you stick to the track while you shop.

Because getting into Hair Fair can be so difficult in the early days, there are going to be two extra sims open alongside the Hair Fair sims allowing people to cam shop while waiting to get in. They are just there for the first four days to help manage the huge influx of people when Hair Fair opens.

These sandals from Milk Motion are also at Collabor88 and come in black and brown with different options such a python and leopard.

There are rezzers available to provide prim “buses” for 1, 2 or 4 shoppers at a time. This is often easier than trying to walk in a sim full of avatars. Once you jump off, they poof, keeping the sim nice and neat.

Argrace made several hair styles to wear with this cowboy hat for Hair Fair. There’s also a gift box with cowboy hats in other colors. The jewelry is from LaGyo for Collabor88 and the skin is Adam N Eve.

There are donation boxes around the sim for you to add an additional amount to support Wigs For Kids. There’s also the Bandana Store full of bandanas made by all sorts of folks. I even made some.

Be sure you read the boxes or you will miss out on half the fun. After a good laugh, you will enjoy spending your lindens even more.
