Before the general American girl’s love affair with Princess Diana, if you old enough, you know we had Princess Grace. She was a real Princess of a magical kingdom that none of us quite understood why it was a kingdom (ok principality but when you’re a kid wtf is THAT?) but we knew she was a real princess. She was a movie star which is awesome and then she became a princess which was even MORE awesome.
What little girl could dream of more?
The Fit for a Princess event opens tomorrow and FISSION has chosen to celebrate one of Grace Kelly’s amazing gowns from a movie – REAR WINDOW as one of her contributions.
The LISA dress is inspired by the gorgeous, iconic gown from the movie. It’s available in many colors, not just the black and white. I thought the red and black was a fun combo.
It’s a fair nod to the original as you can see. Also I just realized that Grace Kelly has no feet. Very interesting. Or maybe I see feet. And odd shoes. I can’t tell.
I paired Sysy’s Samya shoes with it because the broken heel amused me. I don’t know how I missed it when the event took place, but it’s pretty funny and perfect for specific fashion shoots or role play. The shoes have either broken or regular heels so there IS an option.
Don’t forget Fit for a Princess opens APRIL 1 !
See you there!

Very grace-ful! (sorry) This shawl might complete the look (from the Grace Kelly photograph) http://lika-ruby.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/new-shawl-lika-ruby.html – I’ve seen pictures of it with other outfits e.g. https://www.flickr.com/photos/52934996@N02/9191350370/ although I’m not sure how it would work with such a full skirt.
That shawl is gorgeous, Sheila. Definitely something to add to the wardrobe – even if not for this outfit.
