Not every hair designer makes colors that are a perfect fit for all of us. Redheads encounter many Japanese designers, for example, who do not make red hair. I really loved this .Shi hair style called Blown when I saw it on Strawberry Singh’s blog . Joy LaPerriere is just beginning to create hair for .Shi, but has made gorgeous and unique styles. Sadly, they were in this monochrome, shades of blue and shades of purple. What’s a redhead to do?
Change it, that’s what. I apologize to the majority of you who know you can edit and tint your hair, so long as it is modifiable, but for those who don’t – this is a short easy tutorial about how you can make your hair red. I usually start with a brown that I add a bit of coral to make a nice red, but this monochromatic works, too. I select edit and click on the textures tab.
Then I click on the Color box – that is the white box on the left in the row of three boxes. It brings ups color dialogue.
Then I click around until I get a color that works with the original color of the hair. This is a bit darker than I usually have to go, but I usually am starting with brown. I recommend going as light as you can so you don’t lose the texture of the hair.
And there you have it – hair that you want in your color. This is not possible if the hair is no mod, so pay attention to permissions before buying a color you don’t wear.
