Events, they’re everywhere. The trick to them is doing what my grandmother would’ve called separating the wheat from the chaff. While I might throw in my vote on the side of “There are too many events” what that really means is – there are too many crap events.

But that’s a generalization and those are never completely accurate now are they?

You can’t please us bloggers either, because first of all we’ll say we’re bored with events, then we flail in joy when the big players launch, then we bitch that it’s always the same people, then we bitch because events have people we don’t know and why would shop people we don’t know?

Seriously – YOU CAN’T WIN WITH US. We’re terrible.

There’s another saying, and that is something is worthless only because you lack the alchemy to make it worthy. While you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you might in fact find a few gems at some of those events where you haven’t heard of many of the creators.

My purse today is from on of my favorite oldie but goodie brands Bliensen & Maitai for A CLOCKWORK SPIRAL event which is benefiting the National Kidney foundation. This purse is a 50% donation item and of all you steampunk/steamdiesel/steamgoth/steamhellokitty people should really like this event.

My lipstick today is happy coincidence, most creators lipsticks don’t work well on other skins but I happened to have on this color from Tuli when I slipped Pink Fuel’s ALYX under it and found it worked GREAT with my look today, so I kept it.
