A couple weeks ago, I checked out the Billboard Jazz charts and discovered the new-to-me vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant and fell instantly in love. I hope I can persuade you to take a listen. She reminds me of Billie Holliday, more so than any other jazz singer. I watched her performance of the old standard I Only Have Eyes For You – with her unique interpretation. I hope you check her out on iTunes or YouTube. You won’t be disappointed.
This top from Goucci makes me feel very jazzy all by itself. It has a classic Chanel-inspired shape and aesthetic. Everyone will have eyes only for you if you wear it. It comes in red, blue, yellow and black. I paired with some black and white striped pants from Coco that are truly hot jazz in fabric.
Adding these fabulous sandals from Hucci adds just a subtle touch of color. They are made to go with the SLink bare feet and come in 10 bright summer colors with a metallic leather strap, a PVC transparent cuff and suede heels, they are a brilliant combination of color and texture. To top it off the cuff can be changed to 12 different colors with a hud. That little splash of red comes from the hud.
The nails on the hands and feet were personally polished by Sasy Scarborough of FLAIR. She does such a good job. Given the title of the post, I probably should mention that my eyes come from Insufferable Dastard – where they usually come from.
My hair style is from Lelutka and it combines just a few bits of flexi with the mesh to add naturalistic movement to the hair. The skin is a recent release from Tuli called Sara. I chose this simple makeup because it suited the clean minimalism of the look.
