I am a sucker for houses on stilts. This tree house built by Cory Edo of Trompe Loeil is two fun things in one – a house on stilts AND a tree house. With a huge tree growing under and out from the cottage, it’s charming and unique. I was playing with the color changes of the leaves while I took snaps. I love that you can change them. If you are like me and like to keep house based on the seasons, that’s handy.
The first floor is a wide open deck, and the second is a window filled open room that you could do just about anything with. It’s built in a style reminiscent of Georgian architecture with doors on each side that go out to the wrap around porch, and ladders & lofts on opposite sides of the third floor.
Large skylights in the roof will provide great sunshine and probably create some lovely shadows for photography if you play around with your sun position while shooting. I’m always looking at houses as blog props too.
The lofts are located on each side of the main room so you could have two bedrooms or whatever you like up there.
