Second Life responds to crises in the world with speed and generosity. When Pakistan was hit with devastating floods, people in Second Life came together and raised US$11,000 in a simple, fast fundraiser. A group of people have come together in hopes of being as effective in helping to respond to the Pacific crisis set off by the horrific earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Masses of vendors are already out at the main event location, so shopper get out your lindens and spend, spend, spend.
Designers, you can still apply to participate. Just fill out this form. They require all brands involved to have one product sold at 100% to the charity, however if more than one item is available the others can be at 100% or 50%. 100% of all money raised will go to the charity Americares. Land was donated by Glam Affair and all volunteers are giving their time without charge.
