Have you ever been to Marcus Inkpen’s amazing build on the Utopia 4 sim? My pictures cannot hope to do it justice, but for the sheer joy of great photography, take a quick look at this gallery of extraordinary photos of an extraordinary build. When I unpacked this avant garde dress from dojo, I knew I wanted to shoot this dramatic dress on that dramatic sim. Of course, the dress is not very visible in the dark lighting of this photo. I figured you would might enjoy the drama since the dress is called Petite Surprise.
dojo was one of the new-to-me stores I found while exploring the new Glance Style shopping city. I happened to run into the designer Sanders Beaumont in the store and he gifted me with this new release – and he didn’t even know I blogged! I had just bought another dress I will be shooting soon, but could not resist the delightful name of this dress. Incidentally, it comes withthese gorgeous shoes as well as the coordinating hat.
The dress textures have the look of crumpled paper and their wildly deconstructed assemblage make me think of unwrapping a gift, which might be the inspiration for the name.
The bodice has a softly deconstructed rose embellishment. The dress requires no necklace, its own complex construction accentuating the neck and shoulders. The gorgeous earrings from Kunglers were a great fit.
The drama is accentuated with the lovely Alice skin from Milk Motion and one of my favorite hair styles in Second Life – the Codie Bob from Eshi Otawara. Eshi has reopened her store in Second Life which makes me giddy with expectation and delight. Though I did not see this style on sale yet, I can hope she releases it again – because it’s pure solid gold win in my book.
