I got an IM from Winter challenging me to style this hair – a new release at EXILE.

I expected a lot more CRAZY out of the style than I got when I TP’d into EXILE. It’s some big hair, with dreads and big ringlets and I liked it immediately because it’s long hair.

And I LOVE long hair. I also love the shades of blonde Kavar uses so that was pretty much a WIN as far as I was concerned. What I HATE is to SHOOT long hair.

I find that I don’t think twice about intersections and other annoying bits of hair here and there when I WEAR long hair, we all know it happens – just like we know that the texture can stretch and distort over ya bootie if you don’t wear a skirtshape with your system skirts.

But when shooting – I want to show you every beautiful curl, in this instance curl or dreadlock – and well – I have the patience of a five year old waiting for the WIGGLES to take the stage.

That was when I figured out the trick. It wasn’t to make the hair look good. The hair was FINE. It was to see if I would put my head through the wall making shots I would be happy enough to show you.  Like I’m going to be defeated – PLEASE. This is not my first day at the rodeo, VAMPIRE!

I hope you see from the pics that Kavar has once again made a lovely female hairstyle and that even dreadlocks can go mainstream! That’s right! Don’t be shocked, girls with dread wear pretty clothes too. I’ve SEEN it happen – even in RL!  And I had a good time shooting it to find the perfect way to show everyone how gorgeous it is – I love the big curls mixed with the dreads. This girl must have MASSIVE bedhead in the morning, don’t you think?
