7 Facts or Opinions

I wasn’t much in the mood to do the Seven Facts Meme but, I couldn’t think of anything else to say, so let’s see:

Gidge is my first avatar. I’ve said it before but some of you might be new, Gidge is also my RL nickname. I didn’t realize I was supposed to be creating an alternate person. I’ve been told recently that the fact that I’m so just “myself” in world that it’s off putting to people living their fantasy on the grid. I think that’s why I spend most of my time alone lately.
I cannot abide sycophants or starf*ckers. Seriously. There is no cool kids table, and you aren’t getting ahead in this “virtual community” unless there is an endgame I don’t know about. It literally wears me out watching the gyrations someone go through trying to be popular. “Achievement Unlocked – Partnered A Skin Maker”. Stop it. Be yourself, we might even like you.

3. Every single person I ever gave RL info to turned out to be a crazy, SL whackadoodle. For real. It’s like some sort of curse “Give them your address and they will turn crazy”.

4. Cajsa feels that SL is a community but I haven’t felt that way in a long time. I don’t dislike it at all. I enjoy my space. But a lot of it has been ruined for me, and it’s been hard for me to find my joy or feel part of anything for a long time. I think it’s probably easier for me not to bother with it, shop and take pictures with Cajsa and leave the rest of you in peace. I’m ok with that.

5. Despite my new solitary self, I’m more at peace in SL that I’ve been in a long time. And that’s ok with me too.

6. I’ve been to the motherfucking mountain top, heard motherfuckers talk, seen’em drop.

7. I believe blogging is more work than anyone who doesn’t do it understands, and should never be done by anyone who doesn’t love it. It doesn’t really matter if you are good or bad at it, what matters is that you love what you write about, and are passionate about sharing. If you aren’t, don’t bother. You should never blog just because you think the cool kids are doing it. See above, there are no cool kids. Anyone who says otherwise, is selling something.
