As a child, I had a book of proper fairy tales that didn’t have the Politically Correct and Sanitized versions in it. I still loved the stories – but was always especially mesmerized by the story of the Little Mermaid – who in the story, endured the agony of walking on knives with each step she took on land. This was the price she paid for having legs and being with the man she’d fallen in love with.
Mermaids are always a little sad to me, because of this.
Miamai’s Fasciono Mermaid gown immediately made me think of the Little Mermaid dressed up for the ball to dance with her love – her face a mask to disguise her pain as she gained her heart’s desire at such a cost.
I’m a ballgown fiend, I know. But I love the modern touches on this gown with the art deco ornamentation that gives it a great vintage feel.
Plus I finally had to break open the boxes of hair from I Love Olive.
Ok I’m a terrible jerk. Cajsa has been telling me for WEEKS she loves their hair and I was all “Yeah it’s pretty la la la la la la”………….and then I put it on.
I think that if you make pink hair as pretty as your other colors – you pretty much rock as a hair dresser. 🙂 Ok Ok Ok. I DO LOVE I Love Olive Too. Can’t wait to try on more!
