I do love olive – in all its forms. I love the color – it’s earthy and comfortable. I love the fruit – the rich, fatty, meaty olives that are so, so dangerous. I love the oil brushed on a flat piece of dough with some zaatar spice mix or drizzled with vinegar in salad or in a hundred other ways. I even like Olive Oyl. And in this outfit, I get to love twice – in the gorgeous pullover from Moonshine Designs and in the I Love Olive hair I am wearing.
Hah! Three Times, look at the shoes – Pow Pumps from Lelutka in Olive. I am also wearing the gorgeous 107 Jeans from MiaMai with the exaggerated bell bottoms. I topped the outfit with a linen jacket from Maitreya. The gorgeous copper belt is from Dark Mouse.
The Maitreya jacket is gorgeous though it does exemplify one flaw common in SL designs. It was made to be worn with a collar prim. However, the collar does not work well with the rolled collar on the pullover and I thought that the more important collar to retain. Because its collar edges were presumed to never be shown, they are not finished with the pristine edges that are everywhere else on the jacket. It’s not essential that designers finish their work in ways that allow us to use them differently than their intent – so I cannot complain that edges that were not intended to show are not pristine. However, I do wish that designers would recognize that sometimes we play with our clothes in ways differently than they might plan on – and give us that option by finishing all their edges beautifully. The jewelry is the fabulous bambu set from Kunglers – this is the natura version.
This is a new style from I Love Olive called Maya. I really do love the hair being produced by I Love Olive – very stylish and beautifully done. The skin is Candy from PXL Creations. This is Light Tan – darker than I usually wear – but lovely with the linen jacket and the olive top.
