I Was a Steampunk Stripper

posted by Gidge Uriza

Well I didn’t bulesque up for the Vaudeville Party last night because I had this badass steampunk gown I’d gotten a couple of weeks ago for a party that fizzled and BY GOD I was going to wear it somewhere.

And since I couldn’t find a proper  George Burns costume I figured this would do nicely for a vaudeville theme. After all – ALL Vaudeville acts weren’t T&A!

But of course as the bulesque music of the night wore on and everyone else WAS dressed in fantastic and gorgeous bulesquery……well…….I simply declared myself a Steampunk Stripper. They’ve got those – right?

This extraordinary gown/avatar is from Blak Opal and thanks to Winter for suggesting the place. I told him I wanted something Steampunk but girly and after he got done beating his head on the keyboard – this was his suggestion for a shop. The sleeves and arm mechanics are amazing and the gears rotate around while you wear it. It’s quite mesmerizing.

Hope - Group Gift - From Tuli in Sunkissed

I figured girly long hair from Laqroki and this beautiful skin from Tuli would be enough to satisfy my needs to be prissy.  I feel like the Borg assimilated Barbie…………

Thanks to Sasy for the space and Whimsy and whomever else helped out with the AMAZING decorations. And if anyone is interested  – Sasy has the biggest, reddest organ I’ve ever seen. If you ask her really nicely – she’ll take it out and show it to you……… (insert evil grin here).
