From Crucibles to Rainbows

Linden  Labs has made me very happy recently. They seem to have solved the infamous system skirt issue. Now I have been struggling with the system skirt problem since last November and according to the Linden who dealt with me on this issue time and again, the very first to report any such problem. I don’t know about that, but I sure know I was not the last. There are thousands of skirt glitch sufferers. But back to the happy news that system skirts are working again!

Is there a more feminine silhouette than that of a well-fitting pencil skirt? They are yummy and this brown one is just all chocolately goodness.  Incidentally, when my system skirt problem first began, not only did my system skirt not rez for me, the system skirts on everyone did not rez. Yes, I saw naked people everywhere. That only lasted for a couple of days, but it certainly drummed into me the value of glitch pants and underwear. I know some outfits don’t come with glitch pants, well, ahem, that’s what lingerie is for.

To top off the gorgeous ingenue pencil skirt, I added a striped tank from Emery in Red and the shrug from IBizarre’s Soraya pantsuit. I love red and brown together – a natural color combintation.

Tesla knows how perfect red and brown are together. Look! Shoes! Red and tan shoes!!! Yummy!!

I am wearing the lovely Tuli Elizabeth skin and hair from Damselfly both of which stood up to the harsh rain and the surely radioactive levels of rainbows during the shoot. More photos on Flickr.

oh dear – it seems lindens do not correspond with each other lol – many many people have come to me with the skirt issue you are not alone lol
one linden told someone it was bugged and to contact me for a new one – when the fact is a new one doesnt fix the problem however the fix is usually a rebake then a force by going into appearance it sometimes needs this twice but usually works – i hope youre right and its fixed 🙂 designers have had issues with this for a long long time 🙁

Sorry, i was unclear. When I reported back in November that my skirts would rez, i was told no one else had that problem. Within two weeks of my report, there were hundreds and by now, thousands. And yes, rebaking can help. My most effective fix, however, was to go to edit appearance, remove the skirt with the remove button and then replace the skirt before closing the edit appearance window.

    Thanks Efemera,

I am officially in love with Crucible. You can rez your pose ball, run your pose hud scripts, just generally be a truly happy photographer. And did I mention it’s stunning, the jewel tree is there, that cauldron of tempest-tossed water, the foggy swamp, it’s just amazing.

Yes actually, suddenly without the rebaking and forcing it via edit appearance the system skirts are working again.
The Linden Gnomes have worked a wee bit o’magic…..for me as well.

Too bad I DELETED a ton of them…….

I still can’t get my skirts to rezz. I’ve rebaked, relogged, cleared my cache, edited appearance over and over. I have all these clothes that I can’t even wear.

So frustrating, isn’t it? My fix came when I downloaded the new viewer. Since that is sometimes problematic depending on one’s configuration and graphics cards and such I don’t know if that fix is available for everyone.
