I seem to be collecting more sweaters this year – perhaps it’s because I’m spending more time wallowing in snowy builds that lend themselves to sensible, warm gear. Cajsa introduced me to Boom and they were gracious enough to give me a yummy sweater to review.

After the avant garde funkiness of the Kitty coat yesterday, I felt a need to reach for the classics – those wonderful trusty items that never fail. And what could be more classic than a lovely plaid skirt, an oxford-cloth shirt and a cardigan. This stunningly well-made shirt is from Muism – and the prim parts fit flawlessly with just a tiny bit of adjustment. With it, I wore the Irelyn Houndstooth scarf to match the fabric in the Vogart skirt.
The skirt is from Vogart and as always is a perfectly made a-ling prim skirt. I wish Vogart made more skirts because Vogart skirts are the most well-made I have. They simply look perfect everytime. The cardigan is from Frangipani Designs – a simple classic with classic good looks. Continue reading

A night out on the town always means something new. I can’t wear something you have already seen! Which means very little recycling in my wardrobe. However there are things I love and trot out – abandoning the very tenant that I pretend is a covenant of my SLifestyle.
Basically, I’m fickle.
One thing I’ve always loved, though, was my Edgy Wilds hair that I bought from Aleri Darkes back when God was a boy. I was sad to discover, when I started doing this blog, that this hair was nowhere to be found anymore. I whined and whined and Aleri made some comment a while back about retexturing it but really…..why on earth would she ever bring it back just because one whiny fashionista moaned about it?

I ran over to Lemania when I got a notice she had a new dollarbie out – after how spectacular the FIREWORKS dress was I knew she’d cooked up something fantastic.
In honor of PAHFEST coming to Second Life she’s created a MOTOWN series and this one she set out in her celebration hall for a linden. I was totally channeling my inner Aretha as I strutted around in this sexy little number. The Indy 500 has always meant a lot to me. I’m a fan. Growing up in Indianpolis I looked forward to the ENTIRE month of May and all the social events that revolved around the race. When I heard AOHARU had a 50% off sale, I rushed to the store and bought the fat pack of their leather rider’s jacket that I had been drooling over and then I had to wear one right away. A necklace would lie under the jacket, so I decided to wear a VOGART Pucci-inspired scarf with it. It had the same attachment point as the jacket collar, so i made a copy and attached it to the spine instead and then did some adjusting. Well, a LOT of a adjusting.
The scarf suggested my burnt orange cigarette pants from Ingenue and Storm Schmooz’s funky Rubba ankle boots. Some earrings from chicoco and the trusty bangles from Fresh Baked Goods and I was ready for a stroll through the Cannery. I thought I might take a cab, but the cabbie was nowhere to be found.

Today i was running around the beautiful Costa Rica sims with exploding volcanoes and thunderstorms and being thoroughly impressed by the quality build. I started the day dressed for cooler climes – with this stunningly rich red jacquard skirt from VOGART and the nubby tights from pochette. I tossed on a leather jacket with this camisole underneath in case it got warmer and it sure did. Costa Rica was steamy so I lost the jacket. The shoes, though, were sturdy enough for hiking through the rainforest. All in all, a beautiful day.
