As my UK friends complain about a 22°C “heat wave” (71°F), and another one in Arizona tells me it’s in the hundreds F where she lives, I, somewhere in the middle, struggle to sleep and suffer next to the fan all day. Anyone telling me global warming isn’t real must be up for an earful! Anyway, I am slowly going through the lovely things I haven’t had the chance to show you, and here are a few of them.
I’m so behind in my blogging… I have to admit I’ve been binge watching Elementary and it’s kept me away from SL these past days. Anyway I’m back with a mint themed post… Lots of pretty things from past rounds of C88 and Fifty Linden Fridays, that should now be back in stores at their regular prices, but still pretty.
One of my favorite songs ever is “There’s a Boat That’s Leaving Soon for New York” from Porgy and Bess as sung by Phoebe Snow. This promenade on Staten Island made me think of the song. To be honest, lots of things make me think of this song. It’s on my iPod and I play it frequently. Her voice was amazing and she was a heroic woman.
