Where this pixel girl hails from we say POP. Pop means any carbonated drink. We do enjoy it, and “Could I get a pop or a diet pop” is a common conversation piece around those parts. I saw this pose prop at REWIND and while I’m not normally MUCH of pose prop purchaser (that’s Cajsa) I have to admit, this once caught my fancy. Continue reading →
The Great Gatsby declared that No Sir, the right girl wouldn’t wait at all. She’d move on, it seems. She wouldn’t wait for your dumb ass to catch up with her, or get in sync. She’d never wait for someone who didn’t pull into her lane and come along.
There may be wisdom in that, but there’s heartbreak too. Gatsby then spends his life chasing Daisy and we all know where that lead him.
Personally I did end up having to wait a few days for my typist to show back up but then I was put in mind to wonder what else I’ve been waiting on. Beginnings or endings? Which is it?
It doesn’t matter, because time continues to roll and I’m going with it, it seems.
I’m decked out in some goodies you can still pick up at Collabor88 this month, which is perfect because you need them and this event is, as always, chocked full of goodness. But don’t wait on this one.
After all, the right girl wouldn’t wait for anyone.

It’s funny what you forget, and what you remember, over ten years time. Asked recently to recollect my days in SL, the arc of my existence in pixel space, and the story flowed. But what struck me wasn’t the fails, the losses, the friends who turned out to be flakes and went their way.
No, it was the constancy of the right people – when you are lucky enough to meet them. Continue reading →
I spent the afternoon at The Trace Too, using all the seating there for my poses. I hopped on scooter and a bench that were on-site. I went there to make a video blog about a book I had just finished reading.
My great-niece recently rescued a couple horses from a kill pen, the third generation of horse rescuers in my family. Kill pen horses are usually sold for pet food because they are considered problematic, untrainable, vicious and dangerous. They usually require a level of training most people just will not invest. In time, though, they can learn to trust and be trusted. If you want to see the evidence, see my great-grand niece cleaning this rescued horse’s hooves just two weeks into training…and the foundations for a fourth generation of rescuers begins. It was thinking about them, the work they are doing, and that two other nieces are doing, that I thought I might take this month’s house from Barnesworth for Collabor88 and set up a farm. I tinted it, one of the things I love about Barnesworth homes.
So, I love to laze about and read. This lovely Boho bed from DRD at The Arcade is big enough for lots of layers.
My lazing cottage is the Daisy Cottage from HIVE for The Arcade. It has a lovely window that is perfect for some plants or pillows if you like hanging out front. In the background you can see a gramophone from Contraption, some artwork, a lemon tree, and The Secret Stores gorgeous vintage desk. Continue reading →
I always like to bust up sets and mix and match because it shows that the clothing people make in Second Life is more versatile than we think. For that reason, even though the Irina cropped sweater I am wearing from The Secret Store comes with a beautiful skirt that coordinates with it, I chose to wear a different skirt to show it can be done. Of course, you know and I know it can be done, but a reminder is useful. Continue reading →
