My first thought today was to find some sort of horrible St Patrick’s Day nightmare and blog it as though I thought it were fitting.
But hell I’ve done that for almost a decade so I decide nah, let it go finally. I mean it’s not like Shamrock Pasties and butt plugs are in short supply on Marketplace, if one is so inclined. Yet I just wasn’t feeling it.
I guess I’m just in a “Let me stand in front of this giant bear holding an umbrella” sort of mood. What can I say? Continue reading →
My typist went on vacation so she sent me off to a beach to enjoy some sun and waves, she’s so thoughtful to me. Even though it’s available every day in my SL, there is something lovely about intentionally spending some days awash in surf and sand. Continue reading →

I picked up this gorgeous jacket at Vintage and Cool – a vintage clothing fair held last year. I loved the beautiful lace and leather jacket and the lovely details, but had not found the opportunity to wear it – but when I put together this outfit focusing on some of the wonderful finds at My Slink Obsession, I remembered it and pulled it out of the closet. The lovely nail polish is from Stellar at My Slink Obsession. The outfit really begins with the Somnia Cranial Trim top which was released today at My Slink Obsession. As with everything made by Sanura Snowplow, the quality is exquisite. The hand drawn textures in the bodice are beautiful and, by the way, are the reason I chose the jacket. The last picture in this post has a close up that lets you see how well the straps on the shoulders are done. That is where you can see the difference between the good and the excellent. Somnia is excellent. The only reason I do not wear it more often is she works with a much softer color palette than what I gravitate towards – for me, I generally go for prints and strong, bright, saturated colors. But coral? Well, coral is one of my favorite colors and is one of the universal colors that look good with every skin type.
STELLAR just released new bathing suits for your SLINK bod and I had to go pick up a set so I could lounge around the beach at JUICY. It’s fun to mix and match colors and pink with green is one of my favorite combos.
I was just at the beach in RL so it was perfect to park Pixel Gidge there while I was away. Continue reading →
The sweater is from Gizza. Please note that the hands are tucked into pockets. The alpha for this dress alphas out your arms and hands, leaving them in this position no matter what pose you use. I did not at first realize this and fiddled around trying to figure out why the sleeves weren’t rigged to my arms. I had the Slink mesh hands on and they were just flying around unattached. When I finally figured it out, i felt so silly. So now you know.
When my brother was in the Air Force, he served in Germany where he bought this marvelous Grundig stereo that he sent home as a gift to my parents. My father was a musician and singer in an area band and both of them loved music. I grew up listening to everything from opera to bluegrass and gospel to jazz. One of my favorite albums was a collection of duets with jazz trumpeter Al Hirt and Ann Margret called Beauty and the Beard. His voice had such gruff humor and hers was so flirty and arch that there was this amazing vocal chemistry. One of the songs was Baby, It’s Cold Outside and I just loved it.
This cozy sweater from Gizza made me think of that song. Especially with the snow, I have lived in Oregon long enough to think of cold weather when I see snow, unlike in Minnesota where I grew up. There, in winter, it is so cold all the moisture is drawn from the air. It has to warm up to snow.
