She says pink, I say purple

Checker Dress Pink

Posted by Cajsa Lilliehook

Is this pink or is this purple? While not a matter of earth-shattering urgency, I would like to know so I put it away in a folder where I can easily find it again. Yes, I am one of those irritatingly organized people. My clothes are organized into types of items (such as Dresses: Everyday, Dressy & Formal) and then within each of those folders, there are color folders. So my eyes say put this in the Everyday/Purple folder but my head sees the word Pink in the name and all of a sudden I want to put it in Everyday/Pink.

I know I will want to wear it again. The lovely bias tape edging in plum, the darling criss-cross belt combine to give it a sweet, delicate feel. It also comes with a short, snug miniskirt and comes in several colors in season fat-packs. More photos on my Flickr.

Tricky Little Wicky

Tricky litltele wick dress

Ingenue’s wonderful Tricky Little Wicky in Watermelon found @ RFL. Irresistible as watermelon is my favorite fruit and one of my favorite colors, too. Soft, feminine and floaty – a perfect spring dress. All due respect to Torley for his dedication and his hard work making Second Life better for all of us, but I have to say this. Torley!!! this is watermelon!!! That color you call watermelon. It isn’t watermelon.

Nocturnal Jewel by AVID

Isn’t this dress gorgeous? Maht, my honey, gave it to me for my RL birthday and he’s such a sweetie he scoured Second Life for some Japanese Irises and Lilies of the Valley, remembering that I once said they were my favorite flowers. You just go try to find lilies of the valley and you will appreciate how hard he worked.

It’s from Avid – my friend Arcadia’s favorite store and one where Maht buys a lot of his clothes. This is my first dress from Avid and it’s so lovely, I am sure to go for more. More photos on Flickr
