I’ve seen these jeans in posters around the grid for a while and FINALLY found them for sale… so I jumped on them… and when my friend Buzz saw me in them he said.. “hey, I think I have something almost just like that.” And with that…. you have an inspired blog post….. Meet my guest (impromptu) model – Buzz Bumblefoot.

I am feeling not so hot right now due to a RL injury. Nothing big but it’s enough for a bit of painkillers and to make me feel listless yet tired. My pixel Gidge was the same yesterday wandering around her new Haight Apartment skybox, wondering what to do with herself. Continue reading →
I dunno who the brain is but I’m certainly pinky with this super cute new mesh hair from lamb called Crystal Ball – blush. You can’t go wrong with any lamb hair…seriously, it’s always really well done. I ventured to TDR Fusion and grabbed up the Wednesday skin by essences. I love her brows, I’m a fan of thicker detailed brows. Her skins are starting to become a favorite. Another new item for me is these gorgeous eyes from Ikon, they are the Horizon V2 – Pale Purple and I adore them. Hmm, I guess the designers of all the these lovely items are the brain.
Monica Outlander of MiaMai released her newest collection on December 8th. I love her shows. They are always an extravagant and imaginative work of art with music, text, illustration, photography and fashion coming together in a meaningful and thoughtful performance. I missed the show this time since my computer was still in need of repairs, but that doesn’t mean I missed the collection.
I found myself inspired by this rich brocade gown that brings together traditional formality in texture with a modern silhouette and avant garde embellishment. While brocade has been around for over a millennium, it reached its heyday in the 18th century. I have a mental image of one of the weavers who produced the lush silks for the Sun King’s Court seeing this brocade gown with its antlers and wings and wondering why she had not thought of that.
I had to smile when I saw the new Hana sweater from Redgrave. It made me think of my mother and the wonderful Scandinavian knit sweaters she would knit for me each year. I had one very similar to this one with the Yule pattern. Mine was knit with silvery gray, white and a dusty rose yarn with several rows of geometric patterns from the neckline and down the yoke with a solid silvery gray from the yoke to the bottom. My sweater was full length though I kind of replicated that with the tank top underneath. I loved my sweaters and always admired my mother’s ability to knit such delicate and intricate patterns. Of course, since it took so long to make them, I was never surprised at Christmas.
Anyone who knows me knows that I do not like hunting for things. Not in RL or SL. I have labeled folders in both lives, labeled drawers and a place for everything and everything in its place. Even my clothes are hung in the closet in ROYGBIV order so I NEVER HAVE TO HUNT for things. So, when I think something is worth hunting for, you can count on it being worthy. And believe me, the skirt from Bilo for the Harvest Hunt is worth hunting for.
It was so worthy it motivated me to get out of my box and go look for a setting as pretty as it is. I found Water Horse. I think it’s worthy. Continue reading →
