We know of Match.Com, Plenty of Fish, eHarmoney, Tinder, and the list goes on, but what do we know of Medieval Dating for the Common Hedgewitch?

The Stars Are Out

I am being a terrible blogger today and blogging a dress that I have no idea whatsoever about where/how I got it. If I were diligent, I would contact the creator and ask, but I know it’s a freebie because the box said Musashi-Do Freebie for Ladies 4.0. And so it’s from Musashi-Do where there’s been a lot of new releases happening lately.  I look a bit different because I am wearing my newest shape, Linna, that I made for the Skin/Shape Expo. I have a booth there with all my shapes – and 50% of all purchases of any of my shapes there will be donated to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Linna's Moods

I found the cutest shoes the other day while wandering looking at some shops. They are Sugar Skull Chucks from Naith Smith Design. Inspired by Day of the Dead skeleton cookies and candies, they are adorably macabre and had me reaching for this casual look from MichaMi. I am wearing one of my new shapes for Sui Generis. This is Linna and she will debut at the Skin/Shape Expo this coming weekend. She’s 5’10” which makes her petite by SL standards, though not too short unless you stand next to a 7’6″ avatar. Oh my!

This shape is based on a family photo. Most of the family is blonde and the resemblance is strong enough that I had to add blonde hair, like this Pine style from 69 because my usual red looked wrong with this face – one I am used to seeing on my blonde, blonde niece.  The skin from La Sylphide adds to the resemblance.

Like all Sui Generis shapes, Linna comes in three moods In the picture above, you can see the moods she comes with – from the subtle smile on the left, the basic look in the center and the melancholy mood on the right.  All Sui Generis shapes come with these three mood shapes plus a skirt shape.

Casual Friday In Latex

posted by Gidge Uriza

The girly pink of this latex ensemble was of course the reason I plucked it up out of my inventory when I spied it. PINK LATEX? Are you kidding me?  Pink latex FTW!  I like the detail and styling even though this particular look might not normally be my style, I thought it had some whimsy to it. Continue reading

If You Have To Ask, You Can't Afford Me

posted by Gidge Uriza

My husband, Silo Uriza, has interjected that I should postcript that title with “And I don’t put out either…..”  but you know. I sort of thought that might drive away any trade……..

Ever have hair that you love even though it’s a hot mess? There’s nothing ugly about this hair from CAKE – yet, I can’t help wanting to give myself a hot oil treatment everytime I see me in it.

There is something so realisitically overprocessed about this hair – I can see the split ends, I swear.

I wasn’t originally putting together a hookerific outfit – I had picked up a freebie cocktail gown – Meshindo’s Gift – but, I had a problem with the skirt. And herein I have a confession. Continue reading

Last Christmas, I Gave You My Heart – An It's Only Fashion PSA

posted by Gidge Uriza

……but the very next day,  you gave it away.

This year, to save me from tears – I’ll give it someone special.

First off, let this be a lesson to all of us, don’t pick up guys on Christmas. That’s just tacky. And I think we all know that “heart” is a metaphor – so now, let’s all agree together. No picking up guys on Christmas. It only ends in heartache and breathy songs of heartbreak. Continue reading

You Talkin' To ME?

Don’t let the Angel Jeans Fool You. I’m a mean girl.

Okay, I might only be PARTIALLY mean.  I look kinda tough in that shot though.

Cajsa named the set Jean Genie, which was what I was listening to on my evening commute……and what I was originally going to call MY post but that looking over the should is just so TOUGH GIRL! Continue reading

Man, I Feel Like A Woman

posted by Gidge Uriza

So this scanty outfit started with the hair. I’d found some big foofy hair at a designer (who shall remain nameless) and it was just all that and a bag of chips. But, sigh, the economics of it were paining me. One color only for L$400?  So many designers are at least including a couple of tones or more for LESS money….

Quibbling over a couple of hundred lindens might seem silly but in fact, I’m just an AV like everyone else and not always MADE of money. Cajsa reminded me that I could check Damselfly for some big hair that might be what I was looking for, so I flew over there. Continue reading
