Despite their sharp stiletto, standing is pretty easy peasy in these new heels from BREATHE which you can pick up for your holiday fun at THE ARCADE! I popped over to get some holiday gifts and was delighted that despite there still being a crowd, I could get around quite quickly and get my shopping done.
I love when you can get in and it’s not completely crazy town at events. You get all the fun and none of the crazy bonking into people!
I did Luxebox this month because Poppy has a dress in it and – what do you know it’s the GIDGE dress! It was a must have for me and I think you’ll like it too if you get the box. It’s so cute and has perfect colors for any time but I had to go with holiday colors. Continue reading →
It’s Friday in both lives but I’m here and I’ve got balloons and a festive headband and no party. Isn’t it date night or something? I should have some occupation, something to DO this evening. But I don’t. Continue reading →
It all started because of the ink. Scrolling through the Eloquence blog at events the other day, I saw these really pretty tattoos for SLINK bod and thought I would like them. But then I opened up the blog today to find the event and found ANOTHER event (Creation JP) and well – I had to go to that.
The next thing that happened was that Sasy went to the FIRST event (Kawaii Project Something I forget the name but maybe that’s the name I don’t know – oh there I linked it yes that’s the name) and she starts tossing me gacha extras. My old school gacha fever took hold and I started putting on everything I just had purchased and then some.
It’s guerilla styling – PUT ON EVERYTHING YOU JUST BOUGHT NOW AND SHOOT! GO GO GO GO! Continue reading →
I had to hit the studio early this morning as it’s going to be a busy next 48 hours. 21Shoe is coming and that can only mean one thing – awesome shoes are coming and I’ve got lots of shots to get done before 1.21. So I loaded up my lunch and other necessities for a day in the office and got in shortly after dawn. Continue reading →
Well, I decided to go for it and move into the Brooklyn Carriage House from Trompe L’oeil. It’s smaller than the big brownstone I was living in and requires a lot less furniture, but I ended up buying some furniture anyway, because that’s what happens when you move. You need new things. Among the new things are this lovely vanity that’s also from Trompe L’oeil and a big blue velvet bed from there as well.
I added this glorious lounge/daybed from Mudhoney that can be found at this month’s Collabor88. The golden key embellishment at the bottom and the gorgeous tassels place it firmly within the Odyssey inspiration and that blue is a rich as the Aegean Sea.
There are less than 12 hours left to explore, shop and spread joy to shoeless people around the world because Shoetopia closes at midnight. Remember, you are not only buying gorgeous shoes, but you are also helping raise money for Soles4Souls – an international effort to shod the shoeless. When you and I want a new pair of shoes, we want it for reasons of style, fashion or sport, but there are children who want shoes so they can go to school, so they can avoid hookworm parasites and deadly infections and injuries. Shoes for them are not a fashion statement, but a lifeline. So before time runs short, go to Shoetopia and shop, shop, shop.
I am in love with this gorgeous gown and capelet from KatatOnik. It comes is all the rich jewel tones that you could need to fill a treasure chest. You will find it at Collabor88. For some reason, the pose and the cool blue tone of the lighting made me think of Melanie Safka’s extraordinarily beautiful song, The Citiest People. Most people probably have not heard of Melanie, or if they have, they only know her biggest song, Brand New Key. However, if you have a chance, spend some time on Spotify or YouTube and discover her many other fabulous songs, like Kansas, Someday I’ll Be a Farmer or Candles in the Rain.
To the citiest people In the whole wide world You’ve been unkind To an un-city girl From the stone walls you grew, so I’m not blaming you But look what the city – Just look how the city Has taken a pretty And made an ugly of you Just look what the city Is doing to you
I have pulled out my Fiat Lux projector that I am selling on Marketplace for 50L for shooting the pics today. This is a combination of two projectors – one white and one tinted. They are mod, so you can change the color of the tint. I changed it to red the other day and have often changed it to gold. You can pretty much tint it any way you please. You can also make your own, using the tutorials you can find under the Tutorials tab up above.
To the citiest people In the citiest town I’m not the one To be putting you down From the stone walls you grew, but I grew there too And I know that the city The dirty old city Can take such a pretty And make an ugly of you Just look what the city Is doing to you
I accept the fact that I’m more than a bit of a Second Life PRUDE. That’s ok. It’s my Second Life and I can be who I want. I respect the fact that you too can be whatever you want. But, I think that when our fantasy existences cross one another, a certain amount of decorum, and well – manners, should be expected.
Case in point.
I got dressed – as pictured, and ventured out because a good friend had new releases that were not to be missed. I actually had several stops on my shopping list, but this first one was a much anticipated release -a must have. Continue reading →
