Fiore

Fiore is one of the limited color dresses that Mami Jewell from AZUL released last August and that will be on sale till the end of September.
Fiore is a gorgeous, romantic, delicate, black flower. Fiore – infact – is Italian for “flower”.
When you move or walk, it opens its petals made of tulle, suavely caressing your figure, softly embracing you, dancing its beautiful dance and you’re part of it…..

The end of the month is near, so you better hurry up if you want to get this amazing dress.

You never know what might happen or who you might meet

sep18_019

I had a little adventure shooting this picture. It began with a bit of SL wanderlust that had me wanting to find uncharted territories. I opened up the map and moved the slider so that I could distinguish individual sim terrain colors but not the sim details – about the size of my little fingernail. I was going map hopping. When I go map hopping, the only criteria I have for choosing a sim is that the surface is different from the default grass and sand. It can have darker grass and whiter sand and I am there, but the default is a clue that they didn’t put much thought into it. I found a few romantic garden spots with deep, lush dark green grass, but then I saw a sim that was red. Red! I had to go! And with the splashes of red in my outfit from Jador that I picked up at Modavia Fashion Week, this could be a great sim for shooting my outfit.

Lost at Versailles

sep17_004

One of my favorite gowns from the fall collections at Modavia Fashion Week is Letia from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice. Its sheer silk chiffon comes in three lovely florals. The man-tailored top and the stiffened sculpted skirt gives modern forms to this old world fabric. the corset also combines modern shape with a beautiful romantic toile. The combination of old and new is an exciting new look.

So I Went to Pteron

oct10_006

I love this new bodysuit from House of Hucci with its gorgeous dropped sleeves – something you can find at the Call For Couture event that is raising funds for The Samaritans. Although they have been planning this for a long time, the recent spate of suicides has made the event more timely than they could have imagined. Because the SL fashion world is always busy with events and charitable activities, the Jewelry Fair is also busy raising funds for Oxfam International. Doing good by looking good! That’s should be Second Life fashion’s motto.

Pteron has many different places to visit when you go there, but I was captivated by this stairway that would probably give me an anxiety attack in real life. For the shoot, I used Codie’s fabulous windlight settings that are included in many of the alternate viewers. This is Rouge 4 and has such a dramatic feeling that it seemed perfect for that tense balancing act on the stairs and the ominous setting of this fortress.

Jewelry Fair Faves: Violator

LeLookHoH_009

If you’re looking for a hot, sexy, edgy look, you should head right over to the Violator booth at the Jewelry Fair where Soraya Vaher has conjured up some gorgeous jewelry and accessories for the Fair. For this outfit, I chose the fabulous The Punk, The Ruff and the Beast collection of earrings, neckpiece and bracelet as well as the hat from The Dark Note set.

LeLookHoH_005

They are perfect accessories for the gorgeous House of Hucci exclusive for LeLook. The bold red, white and black is dramatic. The lines of sequins remind me of the earring design. It’s a dress that demands jewelry that is out of the ordinary and that’s the only kind of jewelry you can find at Violator.

Jewelry Fair Faves: Bliensen & MaiTai

oct08_001

One of my favorite sets from the Jewelry Fair is the wonderful mosaic set from Bliensen & MaiTai. Coming in 10 gorgeous options, they are irresistible. I wanted something nice and classic to show them off and wore this top from MAiiKI and a pencil skirt from MichaMi.

Jewelry Fair Favorites: Kunglers

oct07_003

I have been sort of disconnected lately what with so many First Life distractions, that the first I realized that Jewelry Fair was on its way was when I received the new releases from Kunglers Extra. And wow oh wow oh wow! I loved the Orquidea sets they made earlier but they outdid themselves with the new colors including this fabulous gold set that is a perfect addition to wear with the gorgeous Dana dress from Baiastice’s Fall Collection.

Caer and Caroline's

posted by Gidge Uriza

The beautiful Kennedy pearls by Caroline’s Jewelry were a perfect compliment to this classic styled lingerie set from Luxuria, the latest release from the Lingerie Store of 5th & Oxford.

Once again it’s a gorgeous, luxuriously textured release in beautiful muted colors. I simply couldn’t pick a favorite so I wore them all.

The pearls are available in white, black or pink and there are also earrings but you can’t see them bcse of my hair!

I should finish getting dressed now……..

Beauty And The Beast – By Bliesen + Maitai

posted by Gidge Uriza

I thought since I started Hair Fair with Bliesen + Maitai I might as well lead off Jewelry Fair with them as well.

The Beauty and the Beast set is a very heavy weighted style earrings and necklace set, featuring images of the Beauty and the Beast in what would be a glass setting accented by beads and gold. Continue reading
