All About Me – Items With My Name!

I started this project last year, slowly collecting items with MY name in them. I don’t have beautiful braided hair named after me (grins at Cajsa) but I have managed over the past year to collect some things with both my nickname and my proper name in them which tickles me to no end.

For Clarification – I’m Bridgette. I’m also GIDGE which is not only my SL Avatar’s name, it’s the nickname I answer to in RL. In most instances it’s how I distinguish between friends and acquaintances.

We’re all showing our appreciation for Neferia Abel today and I thought it’d be fun to show you one of my first pick ups at Ivalde.  When Ivalde was at an old location there was a rockin freebie wall, for the fashionista who adored vintage wear and the sense to shop at a nicer store.

Color Me Purple

Cajsa reminded me to paint the grid purple in support for RFL so here I am. This dress is on sale in their bargain room for $L70! When Miffy saw it she said “If ETD has dresses for 70 the rest of us have to close up shop now.”

Ha! Probably not, since it’s just her bargain store. 

Anyway……I need coffee, so this one is a quickee!

In a blue mood

So, I was in a blue mood today and I don’t mean unhappy, soulful or sad. No, I just wanted some blue clothes and blue jewelry and to play me some blues on ITunes. So I put on some Gatemouth Brown and rooted around in the semi-organized chaos I call my inventory.  The first thing I pulled out were the stockings from League. Now, I know you don’t start an outfit from the stockings, but I didn’t care, I wanted to wear them and I knew I could find something to suit. Sure enough, this skirt from Sugar Cube was perfect, so it was simply a matter of finding a shirt, some accessories and I would be good to go.

No Place For Beginners or Sensitive Hearts..

So my only two trips to Vegas were via the company I worked for, business trips of various sorts. Despite that, I got to look from my “I’m just here on business with no cash for nutty stuff” point of view at some of the legendary Vegas activities.

Such as, prostitution!

The last time I went,our company rented out the entire Treasure Island/Mirage hotel complex (ahem yeah it was a big company) and put up every manager and above from around the world.

One of my two favorite moments in Vegas came in the casino by the elevators to the tower rooms at the Treasure Island.  I step off the elevator and walk toward the bar, where the president of my division (my boss) is seated, chatted up by this bejeweled girl in bright green. Continue reading →

My social season may be off, because just when “The Season” should be wrapping up for RL – I’m suddenly social butterfly this weekend.  I had logged in on Friday night to putz about and received an invitation to Belle LeFavre and her husband Jackson’s party they were hosting.

Taking Lingerie Out of the Closet, Pt. IV

Until Second Life® gives us more clothing layers so we can wear our lingerie under our clothes, we women of SL are kept from experiencing one of RL’s great pleasures in SL – the knowledge that under the paint-spattered overalls, the cook’s apron, the doctor’s scrubs, the power suit our underwear is silky, soft and sexy.  Until then, I guess the best we can do to get a similar joie de lingerie is to drag it out of the closet and wear it so it shows, in this case by pairing a sexy bra with a sheer top.

Belted In

I have been itching to post about these luscious pants from LeeZu Baxter for awhile now. I like babydoll dresses and think they are cute, but nothing seems more feminine to me that clothing that accentuates the waist. I am sure my love of vintage styles is as much for the way they define and flatter the figure as for the rich and luscious fabrics of the past. Most pants are designed to emphasize bootie, but these pants give the waist some love. 

With all the different colored belts, I could choose any blouse, but went for the faded rose color – a color that flatters nearly every complexion. The blouse is sheer and sexy and I might wear it alone for some occasions, but for wandering and exploring the grid – out and about among strangers, I took the safe route and wore a lacy bra underneath. My partner Maht had one comment, “Digital prude!!!”  I should have told him that I was wearing PornStar Hi-Tops. : )
