This newest design from Moonshine Clothing is called Gem – and how apt that name is for this is a gem of a dress. The bodice comes on all layers and can easily be worn with pants and other skirts. The question is who would want to wear it with any other skirt than this luscious little gem. Normally I run from fabric covered in hearts – thinking they all look a bit twee. Not this. Partly because the colors are not the ubiquitous pink, red and white but the fresher green, blue and brown. It’s not just that though, it’s also the fine details such as the lacing on the skirt and the perfect little metal holes for the laces. You would have to look long and hard to find something so fresh, new and exciting – and with hearts on it no less.
I stopped at Bliss Couture last weekend and found this gorgeous gown that I have been too busy to have occasion to wear this week. This week has been one of those too-busy-to-breathe weeks and has left me no time for dancing. Oh well, there’s always the weekend and now I am ready.
Baiastice is not the most expensive clothing store in Second Life® but it is costly enough that I do think about an outfit’s flexibility when I buy it. Can it be worn more than one way? If so, then I can mentally cut the cost in half, thirds or in this case, sixths. This one outfit, tossed about with other items in my inventory easily makes six different looks…and if I had more time, I probably could have done a few more. Here you see it as it is, out of the box from Baiastice Continue reading →
Remember me writing about my indecision, my running around from sim to sim, all in the effort to find a costume for MDR’s Midsummer Night’s Dream party? That was just last Friday – but lo, what should appear in my notices window last evening?
It is not that it’s an outfit from Annalee Balut, one of my favorite designers. Or that that outfit is free for the month of August. It is that the name of this outfit is Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. So, i have to ask, Where were you when I needed you? Continue reading →
When I saw the new Crush dresses from Blaze, my first thought was how wonderfully the Zaara belts from Calangute might look with them and was eager to try it out. Can we just say a match made in SLeaven?
Okay, so I got more than one pair of those H&U ribbon sandals. Honestly, how often do you find such graceful and useful multi-color shoes? These are the mixed color sands and have some blue, green, yellow and purple. Yummy. I decided to wear a freebie today, the May freebie from Baiastice. I know we only get 25 groups, but do make room for Baiastice – that lovely monthly group gift is well worth the space.
People who live where it’s really hot know that the secret to dressing for hot weather is not wearing next to nothing but wearing loose, comfortable natural fibers that breathe and wick moisture away from your skin. The hotter it is, the more my colleagues from Bangladesh, India and the Philippines wear. So, learning from the experts in hot weather dressing, when it hit 103 yesterday, I didn’t take off, I added on….with this lovely sari from Sn@tch. Believe it or not, the fat pack of Saris skirts with the silver top comes in 6 skirt colorts for only 250 lindens. I can handle lots of 103 days at that rate.
