I grabbed this cute dress at the Fashionably Dead booth at Collabor88, and then I had to dig in my inventory to find pretty things to match. And boy did I find things! That skin, for instance, si from Clef de Peau, and believe it or not, I’d never worn it before. It was buried deep in a folder of “things to sort and maybe blog”, and I’m glad I found it. It’s very pretty and the freckles are a lovely option.
But let’s get back to that dress for a minute. It comes in a gazillion colours, but I was feeling in the mood for green. The HUD offers a lot of corset options, plain and embroidered, and the level of detail is stunning.
The veggie tray, apple pie, salt and pepper shakers and waffle iron can all be found at The Arcade.
The uncertainties of life are manifest every day. Some uncertainties are harder than others. My sister has Stage IV lung cancer. But her future is still uncertain, it’s quite possible the chemo will kill her long before the cancer can. She’s been in the hospital for two weeks now as a mold has developed in her lungs, thanks to chemo bringing her white blood cell count down to zero. On Thursday, I learned she has developed VRE, a anti-biotic resistant bacteria similar but much more rare than MRSA, the OMG of countless House episodes. Of course, because when you are going to ER three times a day for 90 minute infusions of antibiotics, you develop anti-biotic resistant bacteria. I think it is time for her to eat a lot of dessert. Ice cream, apple pie, chocolate cake, brownies and coffee nips. Go for it! Continue reading →
My typist felt bad for leaving me cooped up on my island alone for so many days so she’s sent me off to a luxurious abode to relax and feel pampered and happy for the night. I do love her, she gets me. Continue reading →
Erratic released a sexy-as-all-hell lingerie set for Collabor88 this round. The set is called Eden. Like all Erratic designs, it is made exclusively for the Maitreya body. It comes with petite bows that are strategically placed to call all sorts of attention to all the right places. It has been released in a Secret Garden full of colors with an extra three bonus colors (monochrome, pistachio and rouge) in the fat pack. There are several pieces in the set, including stocking appliers for both Maitreya and Slink feet, the mesh pieces include a bra, basque and suspenders, suspenders, knickers and a thong, so you can choose the panty style you prefer.
Here are several home and garden pieces from this month’s Arcade and Collabor88. The house itself is a dovecote from Scarlet Creative, cleaned up and converted to a lovely little house, the loft is a delightful bedroom. The Ivy Ampersand is also found at Collabor88, a romantic planter from floorplan. The chandeliers, perfume bottles, picture frames and chaise long can be found at The Arcade from Aria, Ariskea and Zerkalo. The tub is an older item from Flowey. The pillows on the window seat behind the tub are from Tarte, also at the Arcade.

Yesterday I played. I logged in and Sasy, Whimsy and Mavi were making the rounds of the big shopping events and so instead of settling in for some serious work I went FA LA LA LA LA shopping. I couldn’t help it. SHOPPING WITH THE GIRLS IS MORE FUN. After we had emptied all the events of all the items worth having (which was all of them from what I could tell) I had to run off and they went on to further adventures. Continue reading →
The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful What’s Next boat,
It took some honey and plenty of money
To play all the gachas in their wishlist note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above
and sang with a small guitar.
O love Arcade, O Arcade my love.
What a beautiful Arcade you are,
you are, you are.
What a beautiful Arcade you are. Continue reading →
Living in the south in RL I appreciate the value of cooking out, we’re all about it down here. Now BBQ in the south isn’t the same as grilling, which is what I’m doing above. But when I lived up north it was the same. Regardless of what you call it, meat cooked over fire is delicious. Continue reading →
from left to right: [we’re CLOSED] summer flowers and shrubs, Silver Birch from Studio Skye, Lark – Desert Retreat Deck – Painted, [ba] hollyhocks, Trompe Loeil – Brooklyn Carriage , Sway’s [Door Mat] international, [we’re CLOSED] tree 01D spring
I do not move houses very often in Second Life® or in real life. It is just too much work. However, when the Brooklyn Carriage House came out at Collabor88 last month, I could not resist its bright red doors and fine brickwork. I finally have everything arranged, but will be moving shortly. I thought I would share before I pack it all up. I love the house and how it looks, but I guess my four year old computer really cannot handle such an open floor plan where everything fezzes all the time. I need rooms and walls that limit the textures my computer has to handle, so I will be on my way to a more traditional space. That is totally a reflection of my computer’s age and is no criticism of the house – which is gorgeous, very, very gorgeous.
My outdoor decor is pretty limited, just a few shrubs and bushes from We’re Closed, a couple trees and the gorgeous deck from Lark that was released at The Liaison Collaborative a few month’s back.
