The Dark Side of the Moon

PXL Creations has released Luthien – a dark elf skin – and having no expertise in elves at all, I promptly put on a fairy dress from Fancy Fairy even though something tells me elves don’t have wings. I really wanted to shoot the elf skin with the wonderful Goddess Moon pose prop from Studio Sidhe and assume that a dark elf would be on the dark side of the moon.

All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy,
beg, borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All that’s to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

“There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it’s all dark.”

The lovely dress and wings are from Fancy Fairy – the Dew Petal dress in Violet.

A Midsummer Night

MDR Photo Studio had their first party under the new management of Arcadia Nightfire and Rhodesy Durant and it was a hit. There were so many people there and folks had a great time. I headed to the Fantasy Faire figuring why not support RFL while looking for my costume.  Fancy Fairy was perfect and that’s where I found this lovely dress and wings.

Lady of the Woods

Before going as a fairy, I did spend some time considering other options including this wonderful dress from Fancy Fairy.  If you have even the slightest yen to dress as a fairy, check this place out. The clothes are delightfully feminine and wisely straddle the fairy/not fairy world. This comes with lovely wings, but they can be left off. I have several dresses from there that I have only worn as non-fairy dresses. Continue reading
