NyuNyu Moon has this lovely qipao (cheongsam) at Kurenai. It comes in eight options, this brocade in red and black, plus six pastel and vibrant florals. This is exclusive to Kurenai which ends tomorrow, so if you don’t rush over there now, you won’t get another chance. Of course, many people make cheongsam’s but few have the excellent rigging and quality construction of NYU. Continue reading →
Edna St. Vincent Millay was not thinking of textiles when she wrote, “I will touch a hundred flowers and not pick one,” but nonetheless, when I put on this dress from NOIR for Collabor88, I immediately thought of her poem, “Afternoon on a Hill” perhaps because of that line, but also perhaps because it describes so well, the joy and contentment a person can find in nature.
I will be the gladdest thing Under the sun! I will touch a hundred flowers And not pick one.
I will look at cliffs and clouds With quiet eyes, Watch the wind bow down the grass, And the grass rise.
And when lights begin to show Up from the town, I will mark which must be mine, And then start down!
i’m feeling a dreamy sort of contentment swathed in teal today. It’s one of my favorite colors and it fell out of favor for so long, I’m glad to see it’s return.
Blueberry bring us a perfect casual skirt set for Collabor88 this month, and I’m in love with my new Updo (I have two new ones yay) this one is from D!VA. I love the Moonstone shade of blonde she makes. What’s your favorite?
It’s a quickie for me tonight. Have a great Sunday evening girls.

“Are the days of winter sunshine just as sad for you, too? When it is misty, in the evenings, and I am out walking by myself, it seems to me that the rain is falling through my heart and causing it to crumble into ruins.”
It says a lot about a creator when they’re your Go TO for an item. With an inventory pushing 134k I’ve got a lot of “jeans”. Ok a lot of them are system jeans and I need to let that shit go. BUT, BLUEBERRY is always my “Damn I need jeans” go to. This is probably because she makes for all the bodies and I am always in Belleza when I need Maitreya or Maitreya when I need SLINK and not having to rearrange my entire ensemble for the day is a WIN.
You have a few hours to get to Collabor88 before this deliciously neutral theme goes away and the rich harvest colors come in. It will be good as well, but I have a love of neutrals and the romantic delicacies that were the highlight of September. This sweater from The Secret Store beautiful encapsulates the September SweetCheeks theme with its lace and pearl buttons.
Baiastice’s Chause trousers are a lovely illustration that neutrals can be bold. Continue reading →
I spent about 20 minutes editing photos after shooting in my home studio, only to realize when I was done that I had uploaded the originals to FLICKR. In a moment of frustration I decided to make lemonade and declare this intentional and show off how lovely raw photos can be. WELL THEY CAN BE. Continue reading →
Gidge is my favorite person in Second Life and among my favorites in my first life, too. So, it’s no surprise we sometimes think alike and dress alike. Our mutual love for this dress from Nylon Outfitters was unplanned, but you know, I thought about reshooting with a different color, but I changed my mind. I like the black one best, and really, it’s a case of great minds thinking alike. By the way, if you like this dress, get yourself over to Collabor88 now because it’s the last day.
I don’t like candy corn, but these critters crack me up. One of my favorite items from The Arcade this month. It’s amazing how they with their simplistic form still manage to express emotions. There’s some popcorn for all the drama from Lost Junction and a fun plastic table and stools from PLAAKA – all at The Arcade.
