I went walking the Plaza Havana on a sunny day, taking in the sights and feeling pretty relaxed as one does in such a tropical paradise. It’s a lovely little build just recently set up by Geoff Quinnell – you may know him from the Geoff Quinnell Orchestra which performs in the center of the plaza. it’s a lovely homage to Havana in it’s classic days.
Although it was inadvertent, I was luckily dressed appropriately for this retro themed sim. I was feeling every bit of a 40s doll as I sought a place to stay. Luckily the Hotel Colonial had one room left before the orchestra kicked off. i came for the scenery but I might just stay for the cool ocean breezes and great music!
Gidge Is Wearing:
Clothes, Hair and Shoes: GO from THE ARCADE – BETTY
I’m cold. It’s ridiculously cold and wet outside. You might be tempted to tell me that this is my own fault for living on an island but I’d tell you to go suck an egg. I’m still going to complain. The winds are whipping and making my dogs bark incessantly. Plus, I got up early and while trying to get my breakfast together I sent a cake flying across the island.
Yes I was GOING to have cake for breakfast.
No, I don’t know where it is anymore.
I’m having a waffle instead and since I can’t have cake I’ll be angrily chewing his face off.
Well, not TOO angrily. I’m pretty happy given my delicious cup of cocoa I’ve got going today. Even the hand pose with it has me tickled. It’s almost worth being up this early. Almost. Continue reading →
I’m trying to be healthier. I tend to be just so terribly lazy so I thought to myself, SELF, get up, get dressed in something cute and have some delicious fruit for breakfast. JUST DO IT. Get yourself organized and get some stuff done. Continue reading →
2018 is off to a rocky start with a five-day stay at the hospital. I am home again, thankfully, and recovering. Oddly enough, though, I seem to have picked up vertigo at the hospital. I know you can’t do that, but I did anyway. So the world is a spinny, dizzy, silly place. It’s really odd. I can turn to the left just fine, but turning to the right makes me dizzy. I see political implications in this. Turning to the right is bad for you.
What’s not bad for you? The refulgent abundance of this month’s fabulous Collabor88 showcase. The theme is Moody Blooms, a clever pun that is overshadowed by the rich, lush, floral blossoming of creativity to enjoy this month. For example, this gorgeous dress from Baiastice has a HUD that allows you to choose solids or the gorgeous floral lace. I love the luxe beauty. There’s this homage to medieval forms with the lines of the bodice. I love the lace peplum, though it’s more flattering than the usual peplum by laying close to the body rather than adding lots of width. Continue reading →
Despite their sharp stiletto, standing is pretty easy peasy in these new heels from BREATHE which you can pick up for your holiday fun at THE ARCADE! I popped over to get some holiday gifts and was delighted that despite there still being a crowd, I could get around quite quickly and get my shopping done.
I love when you can get in and it’s not completely crazy town at events. You get all the fun and none of the crazy bonking into people!
I did Luxebox this month because Poppy has a dress in it and – what do you know it’s the GIDGE dress! It was a must have for me and I think you’ll like it too if you get the box. It’s so cute and has perfect colors for any time but I had to go with holiday colors. Continue reading →
Astralia has released the boat every girly girl needs this round of THE ARCADE and I’m thinking I might just need a little vacation on the mighty Linden seas this week to celebrate. It comes complete with a bedroom so what else do I really need? Continue reading →
The question was asked yesterday, just before SHOETOPIA opened and I had to laugh and use it for my post. It was posed as a request for a landmark, but I couldn’t resist a bit of license.
Shoetopia IS a Shoegasm however, if you’re a shoe lover as I am. Cajsa has been doing an extensive job blogging all the lovelies and I have to admit, I’m pretty jealous of her presentation skills. She’s got the tools and the talent, and her bright sunny photos make me covet everything I see. (Just like Hannibal Lecter said) Continue reading →
