Harmony and Understanding

Harmony and understanding are easy to find when you go to The Refuge and Expansion. I was lucky enough to go their the other day and catch a live concert at the farm house by a marvelous classical guitarist. And lucky enough to be wearing yet another Hair Fair treasure – this time from Damselfly.

I'll see your Donna Summers and raise you Chaka Khan

You ain’t got no kind of feeling inside
I got something that will sure ’nuff set your stuff on fire
You refuse to put anything before your pride
I got something that will knock all your pride aside

Tell me something good (tell me, tell me, tell me)
Tell me that you love me
Tell me something good (tell me, tell me, tell me)
Tell me that you like it, yeah

Dots & Fleurishes

Le Petite Fleur has more than an outrageously fun group gift. The store has lots of lovely dresses. The one I am wearing today is a confection with a cream base and several tones of dots in all the shades of coffee, from latte to mocha to espresso. I really wanted to wear this particular necklace, so I took of the dotted bodice that comes with it and chose another top. Continue reading

Demon Love

So when I received two outfits from Kunglers to review and saw that lovely black and white fabric texture in the Metropolli dress was, I was not surprised to see it reviewed several times over on the feed. It’s just that kind of fabric and that kind of dress. I decided to look at the other outfit the sisters sent me and a little black and white light bulb clicked in my head.  Why not toss the two outfits in a bag, shake them up and see what falls out?

Welcome to the Studio…part one

Among all the wanderings around SL® that I have photographed, I realized I have not shot any photos for you of my photo studio – MDR Photo Studio.  In this photo taken in the studio lobby, I am wearing a mash-up of Cachet, Ce-Cubic Effect and you can also see a touch of Earth & Sky lingerie – purchased, I believe, at the Lingerie Expo.  Many folks drop by to look at our portfolios – but also to try out the different photo studios to see what they like or to pick up our list of great sites for photo shoots, so if you’re in the neighborhood, drop on by. Taking Lingerie Out of the Closet, Pt. IV

Until Second Life® gives us more clothing layers so we can wear our lingerie under our clothes, we women of SL are kept from experiencing one of RL’s great pleasures in SL – the knowledge that under the paint-spattered overalls, the cook’s apron, the doctor’s scrubs, the power suit our underwear is silky, soft and sexy.  Until then, I guess the best we can do to get a similar joie de lingerie is to drag it out of the closet and wear it so it shows, in this case by pairing a sexy bra with a sheer top.

Meanwhile Back at the Ranch…

While Gidge is off vacationing at the Bates Hotel, I thought I would laze about in this cute little outfit featuring a great new shirt from Ce Cubic Effect and an old skirt from our mutual friend Miffyhoi Rosca. This is the first skirt Miffy made, and she made it in red, green and brown plaids. Being an autumn-loving person, I immediately fell in love with all three. When I put on my new shirt last night, I immediately knew Miffy’s skirt would be a perfect option. Continue reading

Too Sexy For My Shirt

I have all this lovely lingerie, so how do I show it off without prancing around in my knickers?  This is a partial answer.

Whether loves going to leave me or not, my shirt looks like it’s about to. You know, there were some wonderful finds at the Lingerie Expo, but some of the most exquisite were from ALB Dream Fashion who presented lovely sets with bold prints and patterns. In this photo I am wearing ShuShu though you can only see the bra – peeking through the hanging-on-by-a-thread sheer red blouse from X2 Clothing. Continue reading

Red Delicious

I have had this deliciously fresh Apple dress from Heartattack & Vine for quite awhile without breaking it out of the closet. I love the design, the retro pop print, the colors, everything about it, except that when I put it on, it just didn’t look quite right. Putting it on again last night, it finally clicked. It really needed a nice chunky jacket. I knew just the one – the short leather jacket from Ce Cubic Effect which they fortunately made in a rich red that suited the dress perfectly.
