Just a quick LOTD post. I finally made my way over to C88 and really loved almost EVERYTHING this round. Like this adorable loose cardigan and top from AUX that comes with a texture changing hud to change the undershirt texture. This is great for me because I’m lazy so I have a different outfit for like 8 days. haha

I just love the sweater vest from Tee*fy for this round of Collabor88. My Mom would knit me one every year just like them, though she used this super-fine, lightweight yarn that was so soft. I loved them all. Azure Electricteeth layered the sweater vest with an oxford-cloth shirt though she didn’t tuck the shirt in which would have made my mom tsk-tsk and not let me out the door. She was a stickler! Continue reading →
There are some great pieces that can be mixed and matched at Collabor88. The top from Aux works brilliantly with the pants from Baiastice for example. I just had to wear one size smaller pant to make sure there were no stray spots bumping through in the back.
Despite the false mythology of our first Thanksgiving and the martial origins of the official Thanksgiving holiday, Thanksgiving remains one of my favorite holidays. I acknowledge that sordid history, but I love that we have a holiday that is not about anything more than gathering with friends and family to focus with gratitude on the richness and plenitude of our lives. It’s unfortunate that it’s been invade by retail commercialism and ever-more-desperate consumerism, but that is on us. We allow it. And we can bring the holiday back to food, family and thankfulness if we care enough.
I am thankful for many things in my life, but for this post, I want to focus on those things that make me thankful in my Second Life®. First and foremost, I am thankful that Second Life exists and for its culture of creativity, liberality and freedom that allows people to express themselves as they wish to – as people, birds, horses, monsters, cats, dragons and even oscillating balls of light. I am thankful that Linden Lab and Philip Rosedale had that brilliant insight that the users could be allowed to make the world and it could be interesting. I am thankful that LL keeps advancing adding new ways to make our world more beautiful, from Windlight to mesh to materials to whatever comes next, our world evolves and because more beautiful all the time. I love the rich, saturated colors of Aux’ Studded Cocktail Dress for Collabor88. I had the hardest time choosing which one to wear because they were all like jewels in an imperial treasury. What finally helped me decide was finding which of the Baistice Winter Leggings with Spikes I liked best with a dress. Those studs in the color called out for more metal and that’s the way I went.
