I shot a close up because these MiaMai Milady Jewell shoes are exquisite in their details. I had some trouble with the shoes alpha, but just wore another alpha from another pair of shoes by MiaMai. It is most likely SL® acting up and nothing to do with the real alpha, but I mention it just in case it happens to you – if it does, you can use an alpha from any similar court shoes by any other designer.

I added this gorgeous and over the top jade necklace and earrings from Donna Flora. With such a wild and exuberant print, I wanted a bold statement necklace, too.

I continue to love the Electra hair from Lelutka. I want more styles like this with the fly-away hair. The skin is luscious and from Fresh Fx – a division of House of London.

I have been eyeballing this bedroom set from LAQ Decor for some time. And since it has been at least, oh, a week, since I ordered new furniture I decided WHAT the heck and clicked BUY on marketplace to have it delivered. I bought the PG version, because it was slightly cheaper – I believe it was around 999L and my husband is off in Azeroth so  I won’t need a sexy times bed.

The land impact is exquisite – 6! SIX LAND IMPACT PEOPLE – for the bed. Each side table is decorated in a femme way and they are three which is incredible.

It’s loaded with lots of animations in the PG version, sitting or sleeping and there is even an under the covers version. Plus sheets, cover, pillows and wood are all color change with a click. I’ve chosen pink today, who KNOWS what I’ll choose next. It was a much deserved splurge for an admittedly spoiled avatar.

I spent a very indulgent night in these covers, it was worth every penny.

I noticed when doing my credits for this post that I have two “E” items which had me asking plurk for more. . The first is this cute leather mini from E! (see the exclamation point) which is Eclectic Apparel, the work of Eclectic Wingtips. It comes with a hud that allows you to change the metal findings from gold to silver to black and back. You also can change the upper “belt/sash” portion with several color and print options. It’s sassy and short and just the perfect choice for the new ruffled top from La Penderie de Nicole, which also comes with options, including black with several choices in contrast ruffle lining. 

I found one small problem with the skirt when I walked. It did not get along with my walk animation. I talked to Eclectic Wingtips, the designer, who has made a longer alpha so that if your AO and the skirt conflict, you can add the longer alpha. Wingtips prefers to keep the alpha as short as possible to give you more options when taking pictures.

The shoes from MiaMai are adorable with cute anklets that can be changed with the accompanying hud.

A heavy gold chain necklace from Lassitude and Ennui (yes an ‘E’) balance the ruffles.

And there is another “E” this time with brackets. [e] is for Elikatira, the love hair salon by Elika Tiramisu. I love this short, straight bob. It’s the perfect casual option. The skin is Kate from PXL Creations – a perennial favorite with eye and lip tatttoos.

5. A Storm is Coming: This pic caught my attention because my first thought was that he was a DJ – it’s the headphones. 4. The SLawshank Redemption: Tymmerie Thorne has a hysterically funny take on Berry’s SL Confessions meme. If you miss this, you may miss the best laugh of the day.
5. How to Create Your Own Financial Crisis: Gwyneth Llewelyn has written a massive article on the Lab’s prohibiting third party exchanges and their cautious re-opening of exchanges only for purchasing Lindens and reviews some of the forces that may be driving these decisions – not just the US FinCen regulations, but also a recent report by the European Central Bank. It’s fascinating, informative and outlines possible options for the future, for example, there is still an exchange in operation for buying and selling Lindens in Portugal – because it’s run by a real banks that already comply with anti-fraud requirements.

If you aren’t a 20 something and you hearken back to your youth, you’ll remember that back in the day in the Peanuts cartoons, Snoopy was often working on his book. His book always begins “It was a dark and stormy night…”. What you might not know is that there is an entire, long running fiction contest centered around this premise – beginning terrible fiction with the phrase IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT.

I actually once purchased a compendium of the Bulwer -Lytton contest entries and laughed for days reading it. It’s one of the seminal phrases in American faux literature, and when I rezzed Barnesworth Anubis new skybox for Collabor88 – my first thought was OMG IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT.

With it’s classic European moulding detail, and beautiful windows letting in light and looking out across the rooftops of Paris (Which is different that Under the Roofs of Paris by Henry Miller which is TOTALLY NOT THE SAME AT ALL OMG NO) I have to confess that now I have to move house again.

Barnesworth Anubis has seduced me with yet another skybox. He’s quite seductive, did you ever read his profile? It’s not for the shy, or conservative. He even says quite publicly that he stays crunchy in milk.

If that doesn’t say LOVER AND SEDUCER, I don’t even know what does.

Paris for the summer, then? I don’t mind if I do.

I am just home from a long day at the hospital for some tests, so this will be short and sweet. The dress is a gorgeous easily draped long shift with an easy bateau neckline. By Nylon Pinkney of Nylon Outfitters, it can be found at this month’s Collabor88. It comes in this sunshine yellow or a rainy blue – both lovely abstract prints that are works of art.

The shoes are from BSD Design Studio, the high fashion, gloriously avant shoes of BabySass Champagne.

The jewelry includes necklace and earrings from Kunglers featuring their usual organic inspiration. The bird ring is from Paper Couture and the big bangle with large chunks of amber is from Leverocci. 

Belleza’s Tricky Boucher made some of his boldest makeup ever for The Liaison Collaborative. The hair is from Truth and he has come out with all new colors included fades in every shade.

I was taking some snaps as I had my breakfast this morning when I realized something amazing about my new skirt from BAIASTICE for The Boutique event that, THE INSIDE IS TEXTURED!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG! I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE clothing with invisible insides. It looks crazy in photographs in certain poses and I never know when I’m going to suddenly have a huge invisible patch that causes me to throw away a photo.
