I awoke depressed, certain that my future as a blogger was at an end due to the recurrence of a recent tropical depression that is a fashion icon and a MAN MAGNET. That’s right, the undefinable and incomparable Swirly Cyclone has RETURNED.

We old timers existed in her shadow, hoping to one day be as glamorous and fantastic as the amazing Swirly. When she left we all breathed a sigh of relief, we no longer had to feel second best. AT LAST we could just accept ourselves and not desperately try to be as lovely and witty as Swirly.

Peace in the blogger kingdom was good to us for many years.

But now, now she’s BACK and the first thing she’s done is grab up TRUTH HAWKS who was, obviously, helpless against her charms.

I, for one, spent my day both weeping and recklessly crossing streets while shopping.  WHAT IS LEFT TO LIVE FOR ANYWAY? WHAT IS LIFE?

I’m not sure how I’m going to cope with this broken peace, this disturbance in the FORCE. Swirly is back and now all us girls will return to worshiping her I suppose. I admit, she is rather amazing and delightful. How can we resist?

In fact as I was strolling through Vintage Fair I felt myself immersed in the OLD WAYS, muttering to myself as I considered my purchases, WWSD (What Would Swirly Do?). I tell you, despite my own consternation at no longer being the prettiest girl I know, I’m just delighted she’s back.

I’ll take my acolyte’s torch back up and worship Swirly once again. After all, you can’t fight a force of nature. Why even try?
