Escapism

“Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.”
Alexander McQueen said “Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of punishment.” I agree, we should wear what makes us happy and only follow those trends that appeal to us. After all, style is more important than fashion and style is about our choices. There are always wonderful choices in Second Life®.

I have also finally figured out how to make Marketplace work again and uploaded the projector I used to shoot these pictures.

Liziaah released a gorgeous new dress for the September round of the Sneak Peek event. It is a gorgeous  bodycon dress with tiny spaghetti straps and beautiful embellishment on the cups of the bra top bodice. “Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.”I love the details of the textures, the seams even the zipper in the back. The seams darts on the bodice draw the fabric close to the body and highlight the female form perfectly. This is a dress that only gets better with closer inspection.

I chose these gorgeous Ingrid Pumps from Pure Poison for Collabor88. They come with a HUD that lets you change the colors of the shoes, soles and metals. I love the detail of the strap wrapping around the heel. I also like the boldness of the straps that echo, in subtle ways the embellishment on the bodice of the dress and the bold crystals of the earrings.

For something completely different, I decided to wear these lace cuffs from Katat0nik for Collabor88. They come in several colors including this light one and a purple on I wore with the purple dress. This is not the typical sort of accessory for a slinky bodycon dress, but I was thinking of McQueen and how fashion should not imprison us. I love the end result. The nails are from La Boheme.
“Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.”The bold Chandelier earrings are also from Liziaah for Sneak Peek. They are very bold and modern with their outsized proportions. I paired them with this lovely, more traditional necklace from WTG that adds a modern touch with the large stones. The stones in the necklace can be changed with a touch script. The undo is a gorgeous braid into an undo from Truth that appeals to the Swede in me.

The beautiful skin and makeup is by Lumae for My Attic is only 95 Lindens for each shade.
