The Fernando gown from Dead Dollz is romance personified. I love the beautiful embroidered tracery of flowers and vines in that soft peach, blue and mint. I love the fitted bodice with the bouffant exuberant squirt and the sheer overblouse. the definition of the belted waistline. It takes so many elements of historical and folk costume and the result is completely modern. It borrows from the baroque to make something minimalist and resolutely of the the now. It’s just great design on every level.
In the bodice, you can see more clearly how modern form, the white lines that construct the body conscious bodice and draw from contemporary design is combines with the idea of historical/folk embroidery from another era – but then, look how stylized and abstract the embroidery is – pulling it out of the past into the present. A Modern Romance.
These fabulous earrings from Dark Mouse. While most of her stuff is on Marketplace, these earrings are not, so go to her small in-world store. The earrings are several. years old, from the era of sculpts, but that’s okay with me. Not everything has to be mesh. The skin is League’s Minna applied to my Stella Lelutka head. I also added moles from League’s mole and beauty spot applier which works with all skins, not just League.
