I do not pay a lot of attention to the Hot 100 as most of the songs recently seem to have Idol-itis – overproduced and full of melisma. However, someone on plurk mentioned having All About that Bass stuck in her head so I was curious and listened to it. I was surprised by its retro doo woo sound and was happy that such a positive body image song was leading the charts. Pop music popularity is dominated by the tweens, so the song’s popularity makes me optimistic about “kids today.”
Of course, any body will look great in this great sweater and skirt from Rowne for Collabor88. The sweater even has the cashmere fuzziness it should which is just amazing. I decided to shoot in the living room in front of the gorgeous dresser from Trompe Loeil from several months ago now at Collabor88. The plants are from Apple Fall and Reid Parking (on marketplace). The prints are works by René Gruau that I found on the internet and stuck on a prim in my own house – and are not for sale.
These shoes from Ingenue for Collabo88 are gorgeous and the little keys on the strap are adorable and a perfect reflection of the Motel Spoopy theme.
My nails were done by Somnia for My Slink Obsession. The skin is from PXL Creations a mini-release for Uber this month. The hair is from Tableau Vivant and the strands of purple make me happy. I want you to notice how the sweater has a bit of fuzziness, as though there’s a mostly alpha mess with strands of mohair on top of it. That is so clever. My only quibble is that the inner lining of the sleeve is alpha. I would like a bit of fold over texture so the sleeve does not disappear. On the bonus, side, the sweater comes in two options, tucked and untucked. There are lots of colors and as they are separates, you can mix and match if you wish.
