It’s been a while since we have featured a guest stylist here at It’s Only Fashion, but after I ran into Maeve Byron at the Mahrathon this weekend, I had to ask her to volunteer. She said she liked the blog, so of course, I wanted to feature her. Besides, she was a generous supporter of the Mahrathon – which raised 322,000 lindens for Heifer International. Yay!

According to Maeve, “I guess my style puts comfort as the main priority. Although fashion blogs like A Passion For Virtual Fashion, Juicybomb and of course It’s Only Fashion have inspired me, I don’t really jump on cutting edge style; I prefer a more classic look…maybe it’s an age thing. I like to look smart, tasteful, cute and approachable.”

I think she succeeds. Don’t you?

You can tell right away that Maeve has a classic, slightly conservative style. The Molichino dress is a timeless form and slipping a tank underneath as she did ensures no accidental exposure. She is perfect for the season with stockings to keep the frostbite away and a bold dash of red in her shoes.

Another seasonal touch is the Yummy parure with golden acorns that have been squirreled away for winter. This bit of whimsy keeps her look from becoming too formal.

Hair from Truth adds another light touch – blending the formal and the casual into a perfect style for Christmas cocktail and dance parties. The full body freckles from The Skinnery individualize her look and give her character.

Maeve layers several tattoo makeups over her Pink Fuel skin to get exactly the look she wants – individualistic and cute and approachable.
