It’s been a Rouge filled weekend and this ensemble from SOMNIA, which is for sale at the event, was perfect for ambling around my house, hunting coffee and toast. The lingerie set is called Pinned Courtesan.

I missed the BOSL VoguE fashion show earlier this month – since my computer is hating groups of more than 3 people – I am missing all the shows. Still, I saw the collection on the VoguE web site and am in love with the bright, colorful exuberance. The collection is being released for sale one by one over several weeks for those of us who missed the post-show sale and one of my favorites from the collection was released this week. Is this just not a festival for your eyes?
Autumn is the time for layers and layers of knits and wools and cuddling up warm and cozy or running through the woods kicking the leaves up into the air. The secret to comfort in the fall is layering so that you can take something off while in a heated room or in the heat of the sun and put it back on when the sun hides behind a cloud. In this outfit, I layered a cozy thermal knit top from Sakide with a short wool jacket from VoguE. I have that top in every color and only wish there were more colors of it – one of my favorite wardrobe basic of all time. The jacket is part of an outfit from Vogue that comes with pants, gloves, top, the works, but there’s no reason not to pull out the pieces to mix and match with something else. I blogged the jacket about a year ago with the gloves. It’s one of those striking pieces that work well with others.
This is the last of my new MiaSnow skins (snuffle). I’ve posted about the other two here and here. This one is called the Devil Doll, and as soon as I put it on I wanted to style it up like a Boris Vallejo painting. You know what I mean, naked fantasy girl about to get chomped by a dragon, or something. My silk is from Wishbox, the new Arabella Camisk.

Starting today at 3 PM, there will be a weekend fundraising party to keep Rouge, that amazing red woman, alive and well and a destination spot on the grid. Rouge is not just the home sim for Codebastard Redgrave, or Codie, but it’s also a wonderful terraformed sculpture and a fabulous venue for events. Codie has been generous over the years, allowing folks to have parties and events at her club for no charge and over time a wonderful community of people have come to think of Rouge as a home away from home.
Many of those people are going to do their best to save Rouge with DJ’ed parties on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and by donating fun rouge items whose proceeds go to support Rouge. The creator at Tres Beau dropped in on me, and my reaction wasn’t thank you, it was very much more like HAT? HAT? I don’t WEAR HATS! AND WHY ARE YOU SENDING ME RANDOM HATS?? This evening’s look is based around PXL’s rare dark skin found in their new male skin gatcha. I’ve never worn the Daniel skin, but after trying on a few from the gatcha, I’m very impressed and highly recommend it for you or any male avatar in your life. I’m also wearing a suit with loafers from Gabriel, which is also new to me. Once again, check it out!

Gacha gambling is one of those Second Life® joys that are widely shared and deeply felt. Folks love to try their luck and the follow up with trading and garage sales while they strive to collect the entire set of this hamster or that spice or those shoes. Why yes, it’s another new skin (the Alien Grey) from MiaSnow. I’ve been wearing MiaSnow skins of various colors ever since I realized that she made a bright, gorgeous chlorophyl green. When was that even, 2008? I loved it then, and I love how the skins have gotten that much more complex over time. Now nothing is uniform, it’s colorful (or colorless in this instance) AND dappled like a strange lizard beast! I’ve got one more to write about, and I’m looking forward to it.
