Lost Angel made a fabulous Dark Alley couple’s pose set for Vintage Fair. It’s one that evokes Sam Spade and Brigid O’Shaughnessy and love, greed, betrayal and all those other old-fashioned values of the noir detective. Happily, I was able to still use the poses and just delete the one I was not using at the time. I did think about inviting someone to come pose, but figured that would just make me crash – since that was the way my viewer was behaving.
My dress if the Vintage dress from One Bad Pixel, also for Vintage Fair. I have been eager to wear this dress from the first day of Vintage Fair, but thought I would wait since it is one of those that inspires so many to blog it. It comes in a range of bold, jewel tones and is beautifully made. I think it is one of the stand-out pieces of Vintage Fair – an exemplar of what makes great mesh. I love the floral jacket – a style that is so earnestly vintage it goes beyond earnestness to challenge us and ask, why aren’t we wearing something like this now? Why is this old? Because really, it’s not. It’s become new.
The gorgeous updo is from Exile. It’s named “Like Lovers Do.” Don’t you just love the new names Kavar is giving his styles? The skin is a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-released Faith from PXL Creations. I know it’s soon because Hart was uploading like a demon yesterday. Like every skin from PXL Creations, it’s one that follows the shape so that each wearer retains their individuality. It’s one of the reasons that PXL is my favorite skin.
