Two Little Girls In Braids 2.0

There are two ladies that write for this blog who spent their childhoods with their long hair braided and wrapped around their heads. Their mothers would wrap their hair so tightly, that it would stay in place days if it needed to. I was one of those girls. I will give you a hint, the other one is a red head.

Sitting cross legged on the floor with my mother behind me, my long mane of hair would get pulled and tugged and twister until, instead of hanging down to my bottom, it was a crown of braids, out of the way and neat. We would talk and she would take sips of her coffee while she worked. There was a time I thought I hated this tradition. Now I realize I’d give anything to be able to sit on the floor like a child and let my mother braid my hair.

Thus when wandering the Hair Fair, I stopped into the SUGARSMACKED booth and not only had to pick up the ELAN hair, I had to message Cajsa that she had to have it.

If you were ever a little girl in braids, you probably need it too.
